Magpul DAKA Everyday Tactical Slim Minimalist Credit Card Holder Travel Wallet EDC Gear

I purchased the O.D. green wallet and the color and am very happy with my purchase. It is exactly what I’ve been looking for for years. The wallet is; extremely lightweight, very low profile, thin, robust, strong, and very well made. It features a large clear ID window pocket on the front that is generously sized and does not obscure any of the ID, a cash pocket in the middle which is a unique feature for small wallets as most use a clip or similar to retain currency, and two card pockets on the rear of the wallet. The wallet is made from what appears to be a nylon coated fiber reinforced material that is layered and welded to form the unit. So far the wallet hasn’t stretched out like leather wallets I have had. For me it comfortably and securely holds 6-8 cards in the rear pockets, about 5 or so bills folded, and 1-2 cards in the front ID pocket. It is the perfect front pocket wallet for me and is the best one I have had to date. The only con which could be considered a pro as well is that the pockets are tight and it can be a little difficult at times to remove items from the wallet. I would absolutely recommend as well as purchase this wallet again and very well may to try out one of the different colors. Great job magpul!

This is perfect for someone who wants a small wallet. I use it to hold a total of 5 cards and it works perfectly. Pros: Very durable, been using for over a year, and no visible wear Light and compact It was unexpected but you get a lot of compliments from people asking where to get one, what brand, etc. It can get wet - if you forget it in a bathing suit pocket, no problem Cons: Clear liner for ID could be clearer, but I guess you sacrifice clarity for durability If you carry cash, slit in the middle carries 2-3 folded bills max Price: Very well constructed and 100% worth 25$. In my experience, you will be able to use it for a long period of time without replacing it. OVERALL: I'd give it a buy rating. Try it out, you won't be disappointed.

Since slimming down my wallet quite a bit, this wallet is perfect. I carry 4 cards daily with enough space to add one or two as needed. Cash fits in the slot, but it can be tricky. I fold the bills in thirds and that seems to work best. The only complaint I have is how often the edges start to fray. It's not falling apart, just fraying from taking it in and out of my pocket. I use a little torch to singe the frays and it lasts about a week or so. Overall, I am pleased with this purchase.

Half a year. Everyday use. Every day 3-5 stores and cards in and out, as well discount cards. Still looks like new. Great product - really recommend.

I got this wallet after getting tired of repeatedly washing of my Maxpedition bi-fold (sweat stains, mud, etc). I had tried an Armatus kydex wallet but it just wasn't appropriate for EDC (good for field though). Rather than go back to the bi-fold, I decided to give this a try. At first I was apprehensive because it had limited space for cash ("essential cash" is what Magpul said) and just a few cards. However, that wasn't the case. I could put in more cash than I previously thought and held them more securely than a bi-fold. It held 4 cards, 3 calling cards, AND a small flat religious icon without being bulky. However, if you're the type to carry around large and bulky wallets (which you can readily feel in your pocket) this might not be the one for you. Getting cash in and out of it takes some getting used to but after a week I could use it as easily as a bi-fold. Whether you put brand new bills or old and tattered ones, they'll fit in the wallet (don't crumple them up and jam them in there though). The wallet is very slim in profile and inspires confidence in use. It doesn't absorb sweat as much as leather and 1000D/500D fabric wallets. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase and I could recommend this for people looking to follow the minimalist trend. *UPDATE (21 September 2020)* The wallet's seams are fraying, contrary to what MAGPUL claims that the Daka's "Welded construction creates permanent impenetrable seals". Granted, I have been using the wallet daily since December 2018 and even during my Jungle Environment Survival Training certification course, I was hoping it would last longer. I ordered another one and I hope it survives at least twice as long as the one I'm using now.

I’ve owned a lot of wallets over the years, but the DAKA Wallet is hands down the best wallet I’ve ever carried. The photos show my original DAKA wallet that I’m officially retiring today after about seven years of daily use. It finally gave out on one of the seams, and honestly, I think that’s more a testament to how much I stuffed and abused it than any flaw in the wallet itself. For the past seven years, this wallet has been with me every single day. I typically carry around 10 cards along with cash, and it handled everything without ever feeling bulky. When I first bought it, I was specifically looking for something lightweight, compact, and durable. As a police officer, space in my pockets is at a premium. Off duty I’m already carrying a wallet, badge wallet, two cell phones, firearm, spare magazine, keys, flashlight, knife, pen, challenge coin, gum, and everything else that comes with everyday carry. Every ounce and every bit of pocket space matters, and the DAKA Wallet has been perfect for that lifestyle. The fact that it lasted seven years of constant daily use says everything. The seam finally gave out a few days ago, and I didn’t spend a second shopping around for something else, I immediately ordered another DAKA Wallet. That’s probably the best review I can give. When this new one eventually wears out years from now, I’ll be buying another. If you’re looking for a minimalist wallet that’s lightweight, incredibly durable, comfortable to carry, and built to withstand real everyday use, I can’t recommend the DAKA Wallet enough.

Its a basic wallet, does what it needs to do slimmingly, my only issue is the edges seem to be constantly fraying on mine without any effort, im not sure if its the material Magpul made these out of or what but it looks like little fibers of lint or something from the pocket but if you pull them itll pull it all the way out of the wallet so i just decided to start burning them down instead. Otherwise great little wallet. Holds my license and cpl in 1 clear pocket, and has a double on the other side to carry payment cards. Its hard to open but there is also a cash slot in the middle of it too.

Its a good wallet. Very durable. Just make sure to not over stuff the wallet as that can possible make the wallet loose and make it not hold your cards as strong. I like how slim and soft it is. The front ID window makes it so convenient when you pay with a card and they ask for your id (although very few places actually want you to take out your card). I got the OD green color and have gotten many compliments on it. Really like that this wallet makes you go in a more minimal route and makes you really evaluate what you actually need. As for me I carry drivers license, debit card and credit card, cash and a state certification (for work). In my opinion this wallet definitely needs to be carried in a front pocket as it is little weight and there could be a possibility that if it falls out of a rear pocket you won’t hear it. Overall I really like the durability and the feel of this wallet and if this wallet ever fails or worn out I will definitely will be buying another one.

Used it as a minimalist card holder . After many months of use , I can say that it stood up to the abuse of daily usage . I have no complains . Good product

Die Magpul Wallet ist schlicht und aus meiner Sicht sehr praktisch. Das große Problem ist die Qualität. An den Nähten der verschiedenen Layer ziehen sich Fäden und das durchsichtige Feld war schon bei Lieferung verdreckt durch die Verpackung.

Great quality product. Not sure whether the glue that has stripped on one layer is on purpose to make a coin pouch or for some other reason.
