Crash Bar Engine Guard Highway Bar for Harley Davidson Touring Road Glide Road King Street Glide Electra Glide CVO and Trike Models 09-25(Black)

So far I am extremely happy with the new crash bars I purchased. I installed them on my 16 street glide. Replaced the stock chrome for these and love the look and feel. I had no issues during installation and havebgotten plenty of compliments on them already. Definitely recommend them. I'll have to update later with some pics of them on.

Fit is excellent

Pros:- Looks great and goes with the customization I’ve been doing on my ride.- Relatively easy installation. All in all, less than 30 minutes.- I was ably to install the foot pegs of the original engine guard.Cons:- The steel gauge is NOT as thick/strong as the OEM engine guard that came with the bike. The fact that I had to and was able “pull” slightly to match the hole for the bolt tell me the steel is not very rigid. When you rest your feet on the guard, it “gives”. Not confident if it will tolerate a 800lbs bike drop, and if it does, the engine guard will very likely need to be replaced.- The instructions for the requirement for the fairing bracket are not very clear. If you have a Road Glide 2014 or up, the stock fairing bracket will NOT fit. You will need to purchase a “curved” fairing bracket (two piece part) to replace the OEM units (search for ‘Steel Fairing Support Mount Bracket for Harley Touring Road Glide’. Various options will come up).All in all, good product and it looks great, but if you are expecting a heavy gauge steel part, this is NOT be the part for you. May be a practical solution for a sport style bike, but for a touring bike, it is only a aesthetic accessory.

Wife loves it on her bike and eay install

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband. He tried in stalling it on his bike but one bar was slightly bent causing it to not line up to the hole correctly. It was also way smaller than expected which made it not look right on his 2017 Harley Davidson street glide special. Needless to say we returned it and will be looking elsewhere.

They were a little tough to line up the holes but if you leave the first two lose, then you can add a little pressure and line up the third. Definitely thinner than the original stock one but overall looks and feels great.

This is not a bolt on if you own a Road Glide. You will need to upgrade to a ghost support since you can’t use the engine guard. I spoke with the Seller and they have been helpful trying to figure it out. You can find the supports here on Amazon.
