Vintar 16-Color Motion Sensor LED Toilet Night Light, 5-Stage Dimmer, Light Detection

Okay this is an Edited and Updated Review!! And my 5 Stars are for Both, the Toilet Light and Vintar's Customer Service!! My origional review was 3 stars and I mentioned about how the light worked great but stayed on and never turned off and did not do what I was supposed to do. After I left my review the very next day I received an email from Vintar's Amazon account thanking me for my review and saying that maybe my light was either defective or damaged during shipping. They offered me a refund or if I was willing to give them another chance, they would ship me a brand new toilet light at no cost to me and no need to return the old one. I took them up on the replacement. I received a confirmation email that it was shipped and a tracking number. It has arrived and indeed works as described. Turns on as soon as I open the bathroom door, turns off when I turn on the bathroom light. When I shut off the light it comes on and then after a few moments, the light goes out. Truly is a Great Buy!!! And the light from this unit is perfect for the middle of the night for those 2am nature visits. Thanks Vintar!!!

Let me start this by saying we’ve had one of these lights previously from another company, not sure which but another on amazon. Obviously these sit in your toilet and are therefore susceptible to moisture, urine and everything else related to a toilet... so we wanted to change anyway. Our previous one last more than a year and a half before it got blah. Worked great, lit up bright and activated when you were in it’s eye sight. This one we’ve had about a month and we’re already discouraged prior based on previous experience.From the get go this one was hard to change the light color and we felt stuck on red... red is not a patronizing color on there... especially when it’s not vibrant. I constantly second guessed whether the water was tinged with menstration or if it was the light.Second, it just wasn’t nearly as bright. We had relied on that bright light for simple things in the middle of the night, like if you needed to locate the ibuprofen, but not on this one.Third, didn’t even light up quarter of the time. At least not without dancing in front of it.Maybe we just got a bad one. But in a month, we are already shopping for a replacement

I actually bought two and sent both to a friend who was recovering from a pelvic fracture. She had commented about worrying about heading for the john and not falling in the landing process. I told her they were "approach lights" to help her make a two-point landing. She demurred at first but after I talked her into installing one in her favorite porcelain pedestal, she loved it. She gave the other set to a friend who also got a kick out of it and ended up buying them for friends and family. The units do have a very functional "motion detector" that activates the lights as you approach the landing zone. Although they were purchased as a humorous item, the users swear that they love them because they can find their way to the john but now they don't have to turn on the bathroom lights and wait for their eyes to adjust. I see these as potential stocking stuffers for a bunch of friends and family for next Christmas..

Bought one as sort of a gag gift about 2 years ago. Wife LOVED it! Go figure. Turns out it is very practical at night. The motion detector has worked flawlessly and seems to have a range of at least 12 feet. Light is bright and while you can dim it I would leave on bright. It uses 3 AA batteries and I have not changed them since I bought it about 2 years ago. The stalk that contains the light is long, flat, sturdy, flexible, and easily to install without contact with the seat.I actually thought about buying one and use the sensor as part of a project for cat water fountain, but it may be too sensitive and cat could trigger it from across the room. All and all a quality product, but if you give it to someone they will think you’re kidding until they try it. I just bought another one for a secret Santa gift.

I got one of these for my parents last year as a Christmas present. I didn't think much of it, but they raved about how useful it was. It keeps them from having to turn on the main light when they go to the bathroom, preventing them from waking the other up in the middle of the night. I recently installed this on my master toilet, and I love it as well. It provides just enough light to do my business and wash my hands, and it automatically turns on and off. I wish there were a way to set the color to one color, but that's not a big deal. I'm thinking about installing these in the other bathrooms in my house.

We've had four of these and love them, but this unit has failed prematurely. The best of the brands are the LumiLux and they seem to be of a better quality, they're certainly more reliable.

I have used a similar light in my toilet for almost 4 years and it worked great. This is a piece of JUNK. First off the battery compartment is too large and the batteries do NOT stay seated correctly no matter what you do. Once I taped the batteries in place (to see if it worked at all) it did not! DO NOT BUY this item. You will be very disappointed.

This product doesn't work as advertised. I have to turn it on manually each time, despite instructions to the contrary.

This is a fun way to light up the bathroom at night. An interesting twist on a night light.

Tried multiple sets of batteries and the thing wouldn't turn on! May be 2 stars if they send me a working replacement.
