Note, if you cook for color the pasta is darker when dry, and loses some of the color when it's cooked. This shouldn't have surprised me. I highly recommend it as it doesn't get too sticky, and there's a decent window of success for time cooked. I LOVE this pasta.

I bought for its health benefits, but didn’t expect it to be so delicious! Does NOT taste like seaweed or fishy at all. Even my husband, who hates eating anything from the sea, loves it.

If you like seaweed you will like this pasta. You can eat it plain or with cheese and butter.

This is more or less what it sounds like — a penne pasta that looks blue-green and tastes, well, seaweedy. Blue in the package, it cooks to a greenish color, leaving the cooking water with a fairly strong aroma. The texture is that of normal Italian-style pasta. But the flavor is unpleasantly low-tidey. While it's possible to overpower it with sauce, as it's not the strongest flavor, there's still a mild aftertaste that lingers long after eating. It might be tolerable if there were some specific reason you wanted to eat the seaweed, perhaps medical, but it is very hard to think of a flavor pairing for this that isn't a little gross, or a pasta dish that this would improve. Not recommended.

Pasta and clam sauce

So I recently have gone vegetarian, but my family has not. It's been interesting. I ordered these because we all like pasta, and these were a hit. I wasn't sure if my family was going to like these, but almost everyone had seconds. These are great, and have a great flavor. They cooked up easily like regular pasta, and I made a homemade cheese sauce to go with it. It came out excellent. Even my pickiest eater asked for more! I will be buying more of these! Something my whole family can eat!
