The shark pro 500 internal filter
I ended up getting the shark pro 500 internal filter because i needed something quiet , powerfull and adjustable, i honestky couldn't have chosen better. The shark pro 500 by sicce is honestky so quiet you dont even notice it running while submerged in the tank. Its incredibly easy to set up because its held onto the glass by using 2 magnets, they are really strong and will hold it in place perfectly. It comes with a venturi system that pumps more oxygen into your water threw the standard filter outlet. If that doestsuit your fancy theres a built in spray bar in the filter head that i find myself using 24/7. The filter flow is 100% adjustable from low to full flow with a dial on the top of the filter. The entire filter is helt together with magnets and i cant find it more convenient for cleaning. And dont forgwt the crazy long cord so you can put it litteraly anywhere on any aquarium. Id deffinetly recommended a shark pro as a great filter, it not olny looks great but keeps my water clear as can be.

Does its job fantastically. Build quality is questionable
I bought this after watching a review from someone I trust on YouTube. Didn’t read the reviews here on Amazon. Opening the box I didn’t even need to read the instructions if you have own filters before you have an idea of what to expect from this. Pros: does its job of filtering well! The tank I have it in is overstock with messy fish. I have to do huge water changes constantly in this particular tank. This filter has been running for four days and the water looks great. I would like to point out, however, that I am using the 900 version and it is in a 29 gallon tank so it’s in a team that it is less than half of what it’s rated for That was the best thing to say about it. Here are what I don’t like about it. Build quality I do not like. The knob that you can twist to change the flow rate is very loose. On every other filter that I have, it takes some strength to adjust it this almost spins freely. Not totally a bad thing might even be a benefit to some people, but to me it just counts against its quality makes it seem cheap. You can lift the top part to expose the integrated spray bar and that top part is also loose. While setting it into the tank, I kept accidentally pushing it down. As others have mentioned, the magnets suck. There’s two different magnets. One that the output holds onto the cartridges, and one that attaches to it on the outside of your glass to hold it upright. Both suck. The one holding the cartridges, I think because the 900 version has so many cartridges and they are big that the magnet doesn’t have enough strength for all of them. You barely wiggle it around and the cartridges fall off. I don’t think you would have that issue with the smaller versions. It’s also not an airtight seal. I noticed debris going into the small crack where those two magnets connect. As far as the other magnet goes, that is meant to attach it on the other side of the glass again, I think the bigger version is just too heavy for it. Something that doesn’t make sense is on the filter itself where the magnetized section is, it is recessed into the filter, so the magnet has to work extra hard to reach that section. You would think it would be flush with the glass that you were putting it against. It simply will not hold so I am using the filter with it Just floating in the tank.

No more worries of water damage!
THIS IS STRESS RELIEVING FILTERING SYSTEM! We just had our hard wood floors replaced and we're running a fx5 and a 407. After avoid a near disaster because 407 seal fails and flooded bucket almost to top my wife said we cannot live like this. Thanks to the SICCE shark pro 900 we can still enjoy our 110 fish tank and all the boys. What a perfect solution to aquatic industry for easy set up and maintenance with out the stress of leaks. I'm so shocked and the water clarity and how you can customize each module to your liking. This is definitely a game changer to the aquarium hobby. Thank you SICCE for this amazing product and saving my hobby from disaster! Definitely a customer forever!

Silent, Flexible, Powerful!
I've never had a quieter filter of any type in my 60 years of fish keeping and by quiet I mean, you do not hear anything unless you have the optional venturi set to high and even then it's fairly quiet. The pro 900 is so flexible with three filter boxes/compartments that can be assembled into numerous mechanical, biological and/or chemical set ups as per your needs. Though not available that I can find on Amazon, you can also buy additional compartments to add to your configuration. It gives you the option of a really cool spray bar or a very nice venturi; both have easily accessible flow controls and both have very good flow which if set on max gives some nice surface wave action. It is novel with magnets and how everything fits together and honestly can be a little frustrating until you get use to it. Maintenance is still easier than most filters. Support via email is quick and thorough. All in all, this filter offers the hobbyist a lot for the money. Ben fatto, Sicce!

*UPDATED REVIEW* Do not recommend if you remotely care about your fish.
So far it’s a great internal filter that wasn’t hard to set up, took maybe 10 minutes total including rinsing, assembling, installing, and adjusting the spray knob - no tools needed. It was ready straight out of the box. I appreciate the magnet system and how you can uncouple to clean without stopping the circulation. Additionally, there are different flow “modes” with the normal output, built in spray bar feature, and aeration tube. My glass is only 5mm but it feels very strong. It’s virtually silent and I haven’t tried it horizontally yet but like having the option to do so. Also appreciate the included filter media. Once plugged in, it didn’t need to be primed, it starting taking in water almost immediately. For those reading reviews and seeing others with magnet issues, it’s my opinion that it would work on thicker glass up to 12mm *IF you carefully read and follow the instructions* The directions (pic 1 & 2) clearly say position piece A into the square groove B on the filter head. This means both A & B are in the water INSIDE the tank and ONLY piece C is outside (see rest of photos). Other reviewers seem to have piece B (filter head) inside and both pieces A & C on the outside — that’s why the “magnet doesn’t work”, cause ya have it on wrong! Try installing correctly and if it still doesn’t work, *then* yes, its on Sicce. I did register the product online for an additional 2 years on the warranty and 6 months on the impeller. I haven’t had to use it yet but 5 years coverage is nice. Overall, highly recommend and will update review if needed! ***UPDATED OCT 2024*** I’d give zero stars if I could. I’ve had this filter for 9 months and absolutely regret it. Other reviewers mentioned it killing their fish/shrimp and I thought it was a rarity. Today, it happened to me - I found my beloved rescue betta stuck between it and the glass. I had pushed the filter as closely as possible against the tank wall as I could and he still got stuck and suffocated. He had gotten stuck behind once before and I saved him in time. This time, it was too late. He choked to death, it is not worth it at all and I learned it the hard way. Please learn from me.

Good ideas, poor execution
I wanted to like this filter, but it was just too problematic. The magnets are much better than suction cups, however to keep the magnets from interfering with the impeller (I'm guessing), the pump housing is way too big. There is a ton of wasted empty space in there, and the rest of the filter is made huge to match. The spray bar is a cool feature, but it doesn't lock, so it is constantly sliding open and closed whenever you handle the pump. Mine was not silent and made a gurgling noise I could not fix.. probably air trapped in the massive housing. Overall, a nice mounting system with a clumsy, awkward filter attached to it.

Great, except for the magnets on this size.
I do love this filter. I had purchased other sizes and was hoping this was going to be just as good. They need to improve the magnets on this size! It doesn't have strong enough magnets.
