Neat FeatMen's Zori Sport Orthotic Slip-on Sandals Flip-Flop

Several years ago, I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. In addition to this, my arches are almost completely flat. Because of these two conditions, walking or standing for long periods of time can be very hard. Every morning, I wake up with pain in my heel because of the plantar fasciitis.Well, I did, anyway--then I bought a pair of these sandals. I've tried multiple orthotics and inserts, molds made especially for my heel, my arches, etc. I've spent hundreds of dollars on sneakers made for people with issues like mine. While they certainly help, nothing has been more transformative than these Zori sandals. I wear these every day; when I get up in the morning, I slip them on. I take them off to shower and when I'm leaving the house. During times I would normally be barefoot, I wear these. They train my arches and reduce pain: my heels no longer ache in the morning; I don't feel that familiar slow ache in my arches when I walk, and I'm completely pain-free.My first pair of Zori sandals wore out after 1.5 years of wear. Considering how inexpensive they were, this was a great deal. I waited a few weeks before ordering my second pair because I was wondering if my feet had improved because of the sandals, or on their own. The pain returned after about a week: it was the sandals that were keeping my feet in good shape. I went ahead and ordered a few more pairs, because I know that as long as I have these, I'll walk better, faster, and without pain.As for wearing them: they're cool to the touch; my feet don't sweat in them. They have a decent grip on the bottom. Obviously, you don't want to go running on ice in them, but they're not slippery at all. The thong part of them is a sturdy but lightweight cloth; it doesn't irritate the area between my big toe and second toe like other thong-style sandals. I can wear them all day without feeling uncomfortable. Unlike other orthotics that hurt while your feet get used to them, they worked pretty much right away, too, which is nice.I know that this sounds a little bit melodramatic, but these sandals have made such a big impact in my life that I really want to give them the credit they deserve. For the first time in years, I can take long walks in my neighborhood; I don't wake up in pain in the morning, I can exercise longer and more effectively than before. I no longer have to make up excuses not to walk across campus to get lunch with friends, and I don't take the bus or car short distances when I can walk instead. If you have plantar fasciitis or low arches, please try these out and see if they work for you.

I have worn these kind of flip flops for many years. These fit me fine, in one size smaller than other summer sandals. The cloth part in between the toes, makes them more comfortable. You might find they are a little tight when you first wear them. I have problems with my feet and these help because they have more arch support and are wider, too. I don’t think they’re overpriced either because they have lasted me more than a few summers.

When I ordered these sandals, I used the size chart. I am a 10 1/2 - the size chart said to select a 10. When I received the sandals, they were too short. They technically fit my foot but I'm at the edge of both the front and back of the sandals. Also, when walking it feels as if the sandals will go flying off my feet - I had to squeeze my toes constantly to make that stop. After about a block of walking, both feet were sore from just squeezing to retain the sandals.Overall, the sandals felt a little cheap in quality for the price. I am returning the sandals and won't be getting the larger size.

It was better than I expected and compared to other similar product I tried before. the support is there and I worn them like almost 10hour working in animal shelter and the pain at the end of the day from standing and walking was very mild compared to 3 other brand of arch support sandal I owned previously. I am a small built man but some how I find the toes section width is some what narrow thus I have purchased another pair of 1 size bigger, the length is fine though.I dont like the groove pattern on top of the sole where my feet rested, it needs a bit of getting use to since my skin is a bit soft and find the groove making it uncomfortable initially and also the grooving makes it easy to accumulate dirt thus I have to scrape along the groove recess to remove the dirt. I find the strap holding the band to the sole was thin unsure how long it will last.I like the color and wording on the band design. The band material is soft and comfortable enough.

UPDATE: just ordered my second pair after 5 years and they've changed the fit a little and the materials are cheaper. They have caused blisters and chaffing so badly that these are unwearable. DO NOT BUY THESE! I am a hiker and trail runner with thousands of miles in good and bad shoes and boots. I know what works and I know what doesn't. These are the worst. I've never said this but if I could give these zero stars, I would.ORIGINAL REVIEW OF OLD STYLE : I love these sandals and use them almost every day. I do not have extremely bad pain from low arches, though I have extremely low arches. These do help out a great deal though and are extremely comfortable. They also don't look like some other "orthopedic" shoes out there. I've been wearing them for months and they show almost no signs of wear. I use them both indoors and outdoors during the summer and are pretty much my go to footwear (I really don't like wearing socks and shoes, have mostly worn sandals over the years).They are incredibly durable and comfortable. Next spring I plan to get another pair in a different color. I don't travel without these either. Would highly recommend them.

My foot doctor made it clear that I am probably going to need extra ankle/arch support to the rest of my life so I am basically looking at all footwear. I wear sandals a lot so figured to give these a try. Much better than my previous footwear and the arch is significant. Took a few days to get used to. Whether they hold up with time I don't know but three weeks in they provide good support. If you are just starting to look for sandals with better than average support, these are a good choice to start with, especially for the price.edit - I dropped a star because I feel they did not hold up as well as I'd hoped. After a season, they seemed to flatten out. I replaced them with another brand (EVERHEALTH) that seem to last better.
