Works with WIN10-98% of the time (so far)
I mainly bought this so I could use my old P&P keyboard and mouse (from an HP Win VISTA desktop system) on a Lenovo Win 10 desktop machine. The OLD keyboard is a multimedia one (Lenovo's is not) that is a mechanical-feeling one and both it and the old mouse have a better "feel' to me. A BONUS was freeing up one USB slot from the original setup which had used the 2 wired devices that came with the Lenovo.About 98% of the time usingthis connector I have no problem with the OLD HP keyboard OR the HP mouse while working on the Lenovo.About 2% of the time the keyboard and mouse go non-responsive-so far, mostly while I'm working. The first time this happened I tried unplugging the keyboard from the adapter but that didn't do anything so I shut down and rebooted the computer and they both worked again. The next time, I tried unplugging the adapter from the computer and replugging it and they worked again-so I've been doing it this way ever since. This only takes about 1 second due to the location of my midi sized tower, so to me (so far) its only an annoyance I can live with rather than a big deal. Up to this point I'd always used the same USB slot due to its convenient location-one which gives me best access to the cable.Today, after the keyboard went dead, and after I'd unplugged and replugged the adapter, I saw (for the first time), a message that my machine did not recognize the device being plugged into the USB slot. After reflecting on that, I plugged the adapter into a different USB slot and the computer instantly said it was setting up the connection. About 2 seconds later both devices worked. I'm still also using VISTA machine from time to tme and by using this connector it makes the switchover easier to do.

Definitely an active adapter!
I originally tried a passive adapter to connect a ps/2 keyboard to my computer and that didn't work. I tried this adapter and now it works perfectly! All the keys are mapped properly as well. This is a great active ps/2 to USB adapter!

It worked fine for a few days
I bought this to use an IBM model m with my mac mini. It worked fine for a few days, but then the keyboard suddenly stopped receiving power multiple times a day. Restarting the computer would reset it for an hour or so, but then it failed again. My theory is the vintage IBM was drawing too much power for the adapter to handle, and it just burnt out after about a week of use. So back it went. It worked fine while it lasted, but if you're planing on using an older keyboard, look for something of higher quality.

Just what I needed
This adapter allowed me to connect and use my IBM Model F mechanical keyboard with my brand new desktop. I didn't realize I needed an "active" adaptor, and after trying a few different ones, this one did the trick and works perfectly.

Works great to bring old devices back to life
I found an old mechanical keyboard at my work and decided to use it on my computer, but alas it was a PS/2 keyboard and looks like it's from the days before USB even existed! In this situation, getting an active adapter is what was needed to bring this relic back to life. The packaging stated that the adapter would only work on computers with Windows Vista and older and/or Mac OS 9.0 and older, but I can assure you this adapter works perfectly on my Windows 10 computer with the latest update (version 1607). I also tested it on the latest macOS (Sierra (10.12)) and it works perfectly as well. I assumed it wouldn't be an issue since it doesn't need any drivers to be installed. The particular keyboard I'm using also has a rubber tipped mouse built in and this adapter satisfied that need as well since both the mouse and keyboard are working flawlessly.

Doesn’t last long at all.
Not much to say other than it worked when I first got it. Then about a month or less later it didn’t work. I had to join the connection to the ps2 keyboard I had super hard and then the keyboard would work. If I let go it would stop working. My keyboard works fine when connecting it to another PC that has a ps2 port.

It's Pretty Good
As the title says, it is a true "active" adapter, meaning that your keyboard doesn't need to support USB mode for this to work, however I have noticed that using multiple keys at a time (for example, in games when you use WASD or the arrow keys) can be a bit sketchy and I suggest you look somewhere else if that is you. Otherwise, normal typing seemed to be fine.

Works on Win 8.1 computer
This worked for converting an HP Win XP computer keyboard and mouse to a Win 8.1 Lenovo All in one computer - the package does not include Win 8.1 in the compatibility list, but it does work. No issues - plugged keyboard and mouse in and cold boot - worked from the start, no issues. I suspect it would also work with Win 10 but no guarantee. If you like your old PS/2 keyboard and mouse, this should be what you need if you do not have PS/2 inputs on your computer (as most do not these days) - Also, you only use a single usb port for both mouse and keyboard
