The old bulb lasted a couple of years, until I used the brush to clean the bulb instead of just the frame. I’d just started brushing the bulb when I remembered I wasn’t supposed to clean the bulb. I’d only brushed one spot, but it caused the bulb to fail within two days. It wasn’t a big deal since there were no bugs around. I just forgot about it. Almost put the dead zapper in the trash, but luckily I didn’t. Several months later I went to order a new one, but this brand wasn’t listed. I saw what looked to be the exact same thing with another name. With the listings there were bulbs. The one that looked like mine showed how to replace the bulb and gave the size and watt of bulb. I ordered a bulb, thinking I’d order the matching zapper if it didn’t fit, but it DID! I think I’ll order the matching zapper and extra bulbs anyway, I never want to be without this zapper! Gnats drive me nuts! Bringing plants in after summer outside brings gnats too. Problem solved! Just don’t try to clean the bulb with the cleaning brush!
