Item not the same as pictured on the website
I am rather disappointed. Even though the pyx is very well made but the Celtic Cross on the actual item received is only half the size of the one pictured on the website. It looks tiny, and disproportionate, and not a good looking as the one advertised.

Perfect pyx for bringing communion home to my husband. Love the gold finish and the Celtic cross. Lovely!

Good size!
This is a really nice looking pyx and it's a great value. This is great for bringing holy communion to the sick or homebound. I only need it for a few hosts so I'm happy it's not too big. Gladly recommend!

Somewhat different from picture
As a previous reviewer mentioned, the Celtic cross is much smaller than what is shown on Amazon (¾" on a 1⅝" dia. lid). I actually like the smaller one better, so I'm keeping it. But be aware.The other difference is that the lid is domed, which does not appear to be the case in the Amazon image. That doesn't really matter to me, but again, be aware.Otherwise, it's a nice-looking pyx and comparable in quality to the one I'm replacing. The outside of the lid and the bottom are a shiny finish (as you can see from the reflections in my photos), whereas the sides and the entire inside are more of a brushed finish. The 1½" dimension is the bottom where the hosts would go; the lid hangs over the edges just a bit. The lid snaps closed tightly and opens easily. The lid is not on a spring, so you have to lift the lid while pushing the lid release.
