These work well and I added them to heels. I kept them in for 7 hours to stretch. These were great and really cheap in a pinch. They stretched the toes well, my feet are fat, so it made it more comfortable.

The ends, I'll call them rams, where the threaded shaft goes into the rams, are deliberately at an angle because of the typical shape of a shoe. But every shoe is going to be a bit different, so those ends really should be swiveled. They're not, they're solid, so if the angle of the shoe is different, then they will break as you tighten them. SO, put some padding there to compensate for the angle. They really should have been designed to swivel. A simple t-shaped end wouldn't have cost much more to build. I'm giving it four stars because I'm assuming that people have the sense to put some extra padding there if the angle isn't quite right. I will need some extra padding anyhow because my shoes are larger. In fact, the best plan is probably to not extend them much at all, and primarily rely on padding

This little shoe stretcher works exactly as described and is incredibly simple to use. Twist either end to adjust length, slip into shoe where tight, THEN turn the middle portion to spread the stretcher.

It's rare that I write a one-star review, and equally rare that I consider a $5 product to be wildly overpriced, but these shoe stretchers are both those things.When they first arrived, I was shocked by how tiny they are, thinking, perhaps I had ordered a product for children's shoes. But no, these are simply incredibly tiny, incredibly ineffective shoe stretchers.In addition to being made out of cheap, thin plastic, the mechanism for actually stretching a shoe can only be reached if the shoe is essentially a ballet flat, or a pump, or basically anything without any material over the top of your foot, because turning the bracket that causes this item to stretch is impossible to do from inside a shoe. As the shoe is stretched, the top of the shoe comes down towards the bracket, and eventually makes turning it impossible. But that's all a moot point, since actually stretching a shoe with these would undoubtedly break the plastic they are made of.Hard pass!

I ordered the wrong sizes it didn't do anything for what I needed it for

I really didn’t expect these to work. I thought they were a very small contraption that might fail me right off the bat. Especially because I bought them as a cheap alternative to other shoe stretchers. As a matter of fact they work! I use them on my brand new black pump which I found too narrow around The base of my toes. I left them in there for a couple of days and they did their job. Quite easy to use and super easy to travel with.
