Excellent wired intervalometer but has room for improvement
Excellent product for the price (4.5 stars, rounded up to 5 stars). The device can be used as a simple (but bulky and battery powered) remote shutter release (in this case you need to set all exposure parameters on the camera and just use the big round button on the device as the "remote shutter button" for taking photos). But the main use of the device is as a programmable intervalometer where you use the small buttons below the big one to enter/set all exposure parameters on the device itself (in this case, the camera must be set to manual exposure, BULB shutter speed, and Single Shooting drive). All functions in my unit work fine! I can think of four (minor) issues with this wired JJC intervalometer: (1) The INTVL value is the time from the *start* of one exposure to the start of the next one. This means that INTVL := Exposure_Length + Gap, that is, you will need to enter the Interval value as the sum of the exposure time length and the pause/gap time between successive exposures. Thus INTVL must always be greater than the exposure length (which they call BULB). For example, if you want 15 second exposures and 3 second gap between successive exposure, enter BULB = 15 and INTVL = 18 (since 18 = 15 + 3). In some of my other intervalometers, the Interval is simply the time gap between successive exposures, which I find more convenient. (2) The camera shutter cable is hardwired into the device and is not removable. It would have been better if the device had a jack and provided a removable shutter cable for connecting to the camera. Some manufacturers do make such models, where if you are using different camera vendors/models, you can carry just one intervalometer and multiple camera specific shutter cables. (3) The printed instruction manual that came with the device is excellent (despite the small print), but the manufacturer/seller does not seem to provide an online copy of it (there are some third party online sources which provide a poorer and shorter version of the manual). So if you buy this product, it might be a good idea to scan/save the printed manual. (4) It would be really nice if the unit came with a small holding pouch with straps/velcro for attaching to a tripod leg.

Reliable intervalometer for smooth timelapse shooting
Purchased so I could shoot timelapse with my Sony A7R IV, and it works well for that purpose. The connection is solid and reliable, which is important for longer interval shoots where you don’t want interruptions. Setup is straightforward, and once configured it runs consistently without issues. It handles interval shooting and timed exposures as expected, making it a practical tool for timelapse work. Build quality feels decent for the price, and it integrates easily with the camera without any complications. Overall, a simple but effective intervalometer that performs reliably for timelapse and long exposure photography.

Met my needs, fairly easy to use
I agree with most reviewers that this intervalometer is easy to use and works well, and that the instructions could be better. It does work well and is easy to use. I suspect many negative reviews are by people that don't bother to learn how intervalometers work. If you want to make a 4-second shot every 15 seconds (4 shots per minute), then the exposure (B) is set to 4 and the interval (I) is 11 seconds, and 4+11=15. Nowhere do you enter 15 to accomplish this interval. Also, the delay or timer is just how long until the first shot. I guess it's obviywhat the number of shots does. One thing that would be nice is for the device to retain your settings between sessions. I'd like to be able to program it indoors, turn it off, and then be able to turn it on with the saved settings. Well.... It don't. You have to enter the settings every time you turn it on. I use this device more as a remote shutter release than as an intervalometer whenever the trusty old Nikon D3200 is on the tripod. For star trails, I set the camera to M, ISO 400, 30 second exposure, shutter set to shoot continuously, 8mm lens focus locked at infinity, aperture f5.6, and then I lock down the shutter button of this intervalometer (I could program the intervalometer to do this with the camera exposure set to B, but remember what I said about having to program it every time it's turned on?). I also have a 120volt power adapter that plugs into the camera battery slot, allowing the camera to operate continuously rather than perhaps an hour with a battery. It then takes a minute or two for the free StarStax software to compile a few hundred images into a nice star trails image. Admittedly, my settings are not the same as most found in astrophotography blogs, but I like the results I'm getting so far with my equipment. I could use higher ISO if we didn't have as much light pollution. Your experiences will be different, so just go out in a dark place and try a bunch of settings to find what works best for you. All things considered, I would buy this device again if needed because it does what I want at a very affordable price.

Great Intervalometer!
Great Intervalometer! Intuitive to program and works just fine on my Canon RS camera. I use it for subframe astrophotography images to stack. This is actually the second one I have purchased. The first on worked so well, that I ordered the same model again... after I let the batteries leak in the first one. Make sure to take the batteries out if you're not going to use it for a while.

Great intervalometer
Its been working for several years with hours of run time. Easy set up, and still works well enough in extreme cold temps. I've used it down to -10 F and the screens slow but it functions as intended.

Good Wired Intervalometer for Time-Lapse Photography
This replaces an identical unit that stopped working reliably. It can be used as a wired remote single image trigger or programmed to automatically take multiple shots as part of a time-lapse series. For a time-lapse series you can program 1) the length of time before the start of the time-lapse series, 2) the exposure length of each shot in the series (although this can be set in camera, too), 3) the interval between shots in the series, 4) the total number of shots in the series, and 4) whether you want it to beep each time it does something. It does have a screen light which can be activated and is helpful during night time-lapse captures. The battery length is good and with fresh batteries you can to an overnight time-lapse with no problem. I prefer this wired intervalometer to those that use a cell phone as the dashboard because I often am using my cell phone for other functions during astrophotography. The first one of these I had lasted for several years of intermittent heavy use so I'd say the durability is good. The adapter cord that attaches to the camera is camera-specific, so you MUST get the right cord for your camera. The instructions are printed in a micro-sized font and are hard to read. There are some excellent youTube videos that cover the functionality of this unit that are worth watching. When turned off, the unit does not seem to remember the settings (although maybe I just don't know how to 'save' them.) It's a bit annoying to have to reprogram the settings each time if you are doing the same types of time-lapse series. I have this same unit for the Nikon Z8 and the Nikon Z6/D750. The only difference is the attachment to the camera.

Terrible product, DOA, flawed design - cable threads do not match Nikon D850
Did not work out of the box with my Nikon D850. Device was powered up, plugged all the way in (the threads on the plug do not catch the threads on the D850, so it doesn't screw down, but I pushed it as deep as it could possibly go). Tried pressing and holding the shutter button and got no response. The D850 is supposed to detect it automatically, and I even had both devices on bulb mode - nada. I tried everything I could think of, read the badly translated manual, looked over settings on my camera - nothing. The only conclusion I can come to is that this cable is just no good. Now I need to waste time returning it. I'll also note that it feels really cheap and flimsy. I wouldn't bother trying to buy this again.

I use this on my Fuji XT-2 for astrophotography and it works perfectly. Battery seems to last a very long time and it's quiet easy to work out all the settings once you've used it a few times. Recommended.

Extreme capable and good value
This device does exactly what I want with the reliability of a wired connection. The quality is decent, and I appreciate the on/off switch to preserve battery life. There’s a slight learning curve at first, but it’s straightforward to use afterward. My only criticism is that it’s a bit small in the hand. I’m using it with a Sony A7RV.
