I have used luxury shave creams for years including many of Trumpers products. I have not however, tried shaving soap. I generally stick with creams. This was my first shaving soap experience and the product smelled great and resulted in a great shave even though I could not manage to get much more than a thin foam going with it. I don’t know if this consistency is common in shaving soaps in general or just this one but knowing the quality of Trumpers products I have to think that it’s the nature of the beast. Giving 3 stars because it did provide a good shave but I won’t be purchasing the soap version again.

No other shaving soap compares to it. Beautiful lather and heavenly smell like nothing else.I never had any problems with lathering as some people have complained. I lather some parts of my face, shave, then lather the next and shave.I also continuously add few drops of water to my brush, which helps with the lathering.Now that I'm growing a beard and stopped wet shaving, the only thing I'm missing is Eucris shaving soap.

This has a great scent and the bowl is great. I can't seem to get it to lather up as much as I'd like, though. No matter how hard I try it's still too thin for my liking. That is likely just my problem, though.

It takes a bit longer to get the right consistency of lather (it could also be that I'm using a cheap brush), but otherwise it stays on for the entire shave, and the scent is easily the best I've ever used. The only downside is that there is no matching scent for aftershave. I will definitely be getting the Eucris EDT though.

Foam dry out fast, scent is clean.

Very nice and subtle scent. Lathers easily with a drier brush. Shaves very smooth.

This is a great shaving soap. It works better than any shaving soap or cream Iv'e tried and smells real good too. Highly recommended to anyone who uses a straight razor! This is definately my favorite.

I usually reslly like Trumper's products and have used many. I bought this Eucris shaving soap on the strength of the large number of positive reiews. Firstly, the scent is lovely, very much like Antaeus by Chanel or Quorum but there the compliments end. I have been using a double edged razor for years and feel my technique is decent as is my knowledge of preparing my face for shaving. During the years I have tried and tested a huge amount of shaving soaps, creams, foams, sticks from the cheapest to the more luxurious brands such as Castle Forbes and Aqua Di Parma. The problem with this soap is that it is glycerine based which means, although it lathers well, it is very thin and doesnt offer much protection or lubrication, especially, if like me, you require a close shave. Using this soap I had to use multiple passes which meant that my face was somewhat sore because the barrier between blade and face is so thin. Other soaps or creams, such as Taylor's grapefruit and a few others offer far lubrication and protection because they are thicker. This soap may need to have another ingredient such as tallow etc to offer better protection and lubrication to stop drying the skin through the shave.

First time purchase, quite a splurge cost wise but does not deliver.Weak lathering quality and very short lived , quite a serious flaw in a premium shaving soap . Scent extremely pleasant so will be used as a face wash albeit an expensive one . Taylor’s of Bond Street here we come , lesson learned.Bowl very good quality.

...got a badger brush and this - revelation - every bloke should try dual edged razors and top of the line shaving soap - better and actually much cheaper than a more modern / more disposable approach - and no aerosols...just one later addition - despite being kept tight shut - the soap has lost its once lovely smell quite quickly - going to have to purchase some Eucris Oil now!

Used this product for years , can't fault it !

Same high standard as always.
