This certainly isn't the cheapest Ice Machine available on Amazon, however I believe that it is worth the extra money.The design is to add water from the side, though if you are careful you could also add water from the top, but if you add too much then this would overflow to where the Ice is to exit.I've had the machine for 5 months now, being able to use the Ice direct from the machine to a glass is very worthwhile, and of course any excess Ice you can add to a container and add to your freezer. The machine also recycles unused Ice. Although it is not plumbed (ideal for me, as I can place it where I want in the kitchen), the water reservoir is large which means that it only requires infrequent refilling.Ice jams due to the ice sticking together are fairly infrequent but if does occur, access from both the top or from the ice exit at the front (just put your finger up or handle of a spoon to wriggle the ice and then it will loosen up and drop out).If you are looking for a domestic Ice Machine, for ice to either add directly to your drinks or to add to your freezer then I can recommend this machine and wouldn't hesitate to say don't look any further.

I thought it looked ok and seemed easy to use but it broke and the customer service for a broken product is disgusting it broke little after a month so refusing to issue my refund only partial or replacement with 2year warrenty so obviously don't trust their own product. The swirly metal ice mover broke and the ice and water have areally weird taste we tried it and gave it time the ice sticks together and doesn't go through the hole it's not worth the money pr aggravation trying to get your money back. Avoid this

Just I thought it would make more ice. Seems quite a slow process.

So far I am very happy with my ice machine.I really like my drinks cold.Growing up I always wanted a double door fridge with an ice maker in the door, but never had one (my parents even teased me by building a kitchen with space for one, but the filled in the extra space with a bookshelf).The good news is that all the extra reading enabled me to get a job where I can afford my own ice machine, and it's excellent. I haven't had a power bill yet so don't know about the impact.The one thing I will say is that it makes enough ice for me... I'm not sure it would make enough ice for 2-3 of me. I like a lot of ice in my drink, like you might get at Pizza Hut when they still did dine-in. But still, I'm not sure that you don't need one of these machines for each person who lives at your house.

The coil that pushes the ice out doesn’t push it out you have to put your hand in and pull the ice forward. Very disappointed with this machine.

Fantastic product, well worth the money.

The ice machine was purchased in January 2022 and now has broken after less than 6 months. Will no longer make ice cubes and water is not cold. A lot of money wasted. I would consider other options before buying this. After a great deal of emailing between Klarstein and myself, we were told that we would not be refunded any money but have another machine sent to us, (which I believe is actually illegal). Eventually we were told that we would be refunded the cost as they had no machines left. Consequently we bought another ice machine and then today we received another ice machine from Klarstein now leaving us with 2 machines and more than £200 out of pocket. Avoid this company at all cost. They are absolutely useless. Two weeks later and they still haven't replied so we have decided to take them to the small claims court to try and get our money back.
