Wow, this rug immediately took my breath away. It is thick, appears to be made of quality material and lays nicely without a rug mat, although it recommends it. It does not slide on my flooring. It feels great underneath the feet and does not shed initially like other woven or jute rugs. Thank you, thank you—I highly recommend!

Used it to cover slippery stairs for a toddler and doggy. It’s been installed for 2 months and is doing great. Get tons of complements on it too!

I don’t write bad reviews, but I feel like buyers need to know this rug is not as described. Yes, the length and width was correct, but the quality of this rug was incredibly poor. The design in the picture looks barely visible in person. The ends of the rug were so thick, it wouldn’t lay completely flat, which was a huge trip hazard. Everyone who walked on the rug tripped. It’s not worth keeping.

Horrible. This is the 1st one star review I've ever written for a product. We first received the rugs and immediately noticed the overwhelming smell. The smell was more than a smell. It made it difficult to breath. Not because it was unpleasant, but because it was more like it was something toxic. It made it physically difficult to breath. I took the rugs to my garage (it's a snowy winter currently) and left them there for 3 days to air out. I even drapped them across saw horses and ran an ozone machine. It didn't help much. I was hoping the air quality issue would improve. It never did and the rugs just started apart, all over! That was the last straw. I packed them up and shipped them back. Best decision ever! Don't buy these!!

First of all, this rug is really thick and trips everyone. Secondly, the edges are crooked and won't straighten out. Thirdly, after barely a month, the rug started falling apart. It has long pulls all over it and the fibers are actually breaking apart. It looks like Bart Simpson's hairdo on top-all frizzy and has pieces sticking up everywhere. When I vacuum with my stick vacuum, the fibers completely fill the dust canister in two passes it sheds so badly. I contacted Safavieh and they refused to warranty it. Thank goodness, I bought it from Amazon, LLC and they have agreed to allow a return and a refund. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND THE HASSEL. Go elsewhere to buy a rug and DO NOT buy this one. I would have rated it zero stars if I could. It's literally a piece of junk with no warranty.

This rug is nice quality and the colors are great. I'm not sure about the review that said the black barely shows up. That's not the case with mine at all. The black is vibrant against the natural colors. It is thick which I wasn't expecting. It's thickest on the ends where the hem is, but for the purpose I plan to use it with it's fine. It appears to be very heavy dut. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I haven't used it yet. I rolled it out to check it out, then repackaged it. I'm saving it for my new house so I'll know more about using it in a few months.

I Love this rug....it's gorgeous and much softer than I expected. I put it in front of my tv console and it looks great. I have a lot of black iron decor so it ties in perfectly. I was afraid it might be too dark with the black but far from it. It's perfect, looks rich and expensive without actually being expensive. The only thing I would change is how this the ends are....we have to get used to stepping over it, not a big deal since it looks so AWESOME!! Very happy with this purchase and if I had a bigger house with more places for this type of rug I would definitely buy another.

We have three cats that use our hallway as a racetrack so I wanted a rug that was durable to handle that activity. And I also didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. So far this rug has met my expectations. I haven't owned it long enough to test out the wear-and-tear but so far I am happy with the quality. It is a natural fiber so there will be some stray fibers and imperfections. The one thing that I'm not crazy about is the hem. It's very bulky and on one end isn't quite straight. But I may undo it and sew on a black canvas edge so it lays flat. But if I don't get around to it I think I can still live with it the way it is. For the price, this is a good rug.
