Just what I needed.
I use my laptop as a desktop, And it is about 2-3 years old. As of late I have had my laptop randomly shut down in the middle of a game or application from it being to hot. I do not move my laptop from my desk. I use it for school work, small online games on facebook, And shopping on amazon!!(I smell Discount!)So I desided to go with this one because based of other reviews it was what I needed.First off when I took it out of the box. It floped around and I was twisting it with no effort. It is just a single sheet of clear plastic with fans and legs mounted on it. I had no missing screws and the lights work on it. So if you plan on traveling or moving this around the house alot. I would recomend somthing a bit more sturdy. If you do not plan on your laptop moving from a spot (like me). or do no plan on moving it often. This pad could work for you.I was excited to see that the usb port had an extender on it. This meens you will not lose your usb port if you have all yours filled already. I have my wireless mouse and this fan pluged into the same space. I wish the cord didn't come out the side because I couldn't place it were I wanted it. But I also thought it was just a standard usb plug so it still saved space for me. the cord is very short. A little over a foot long. And when you run it under the cooling pad it could catch on one of the fans since the fans are open and stoping it. You can fix that by taping it down to the base plastic sheet. With that said the fans are open at the bottom and top. so it will have to be placed on a hard surface. no laps, pillows, or beds for this cooling pad. It will stop the fans. And they only have a clearance of about 1/4 of an inch. Like before this is fine for hard surfaces. but not for anything other than. the fans themselfs are simple computer fans. If you have ever seen the inside of a computer you know exacly what I am talking about. they run well and they are quiet. I honesty can't hear them over the hum of my computer. And well since my computers fan dosn't have to kick on overdrive to cool my computer it acually made things quieter for me.The pads that hold the laptop are 10 1/2(w) X 8 1/2(d) inches apart. and the pads are not slick and holds the laptop in place. For me this is nice because my kids have a lesser chance of sliding it off my desk. As they are 4 and 2 so they will if they try, but me working on my laptop I have no fear of it falling or sliding on me. the legs themselfs are about an inch thick and the back lrgs are about 1 inch up and the front are about 1/2 inch. giving it a small incline too your laptop.I gave this product 5 stars because as it is cheaply made, the fact is for the money I paid it is what I wanted and needed. And it has been keeping my laptop cooler and works well. Hopfully based on this review you can see if it is right for you.

Very good product, does what it's suposed to, and as inexpensive as you can get!
Just received this laptop cooling fan today and have to say this: all the 5 star reviews are correct and all the 1 and 2 star reviews— what's wrong with you people? The fan fits the the base size of my 13" MacBook perfectly, and the MacBook sits nicely and securely on 4 sturdy non-slip pedestals. The fans are so quiet that I've checked twice in the past 4 hours to make sure they're really on (they are), and quiet though they are, they cool the processor chips very well. If I had been running the laptop for this amount of time without a fan, you could fry an egg on the bottom of it! The rear pedestals are a bit higher than the front ones, angling the laptop slightly towards you for easier key-stroking and allowing for good airflow under the cooling pad on a flat hard surface. Many reviewers have complained about the plastic being "flimsy": I see what they mean, and I also wonder what the heck their problem is. The plastic is thin and somewhat flexible, but it's not load-bearing; your laptop sits on the pedestals and the plastic is only to connect the pedestals and house the 3 fans. Yes, if you want to hammer nails with your cooling pad, get something else certainly, but this pad is built just fine for what it needs to do. I thought I might find the blue lighting annoying, but it's very discreet and doesn't bother me at all (in dim light, they give the illusion of your laptop floating on the surface below). The USB cable is long enough to easily reach a USB port but not so long as to create wire clutter.Mine came in sufficiently sturdy OEM display packaging, so I had no worries about any breakage in transit.Yes, the fan blades ARE exposed and will clip you if you stick your fingers under them (I had to try, of course). If you like to have your laptop on your lap, you'll need to put it on a breakfast tray or one of those laptop work trays you can buy at Bed, Bath and Beyond. Many of the reviews have mentioned this, so if a customer wrote a bad review because he or she was surprised by this, then that customer either didn't read the reviews, or can't read English well enough to be trusted with sharp objects! And did I mention the price? At under $10, this cooling pad is almost free! My recommendation is "Buy it and enjoy!"

Love this product!
I put this product underneath my laptop, and a second one underneath my xbox. Not only does it look great, the fans do a good job in keeping it cool. If your laptop heats up easily, this is a cheap and effective measure. This being said, that does not mean that the fans are of an industrial standard. You have to remember that they are three smaller fans, which although they work well - don't expect them to keep your laptop ice cold no matter what.

Very Cheap and Very Flimsy
The product is cheap and when you buy it you know why, its as flimsy as a paper quality of the fans are really low, I needed a fan to put under my gaming console to lift them so it can help the air flow. so for that it does the job perfectly

Disappointed, but I guess you get what you pay for
Arrived on time but crushed at one end due to poor packaging, with part of the item cracked with a fragment missing. The fans work but make a very loud noise when in operation.I could have returned it, but at £3 cost, the petrol to the post office would have cost more.It does work, so will cool the laptop when I pop out of my office, (too noisy while Im working on it.)
