They lay flat against the wall , I used a picture hanger because of my plants I dont see it. But you can use a screw with anchor or anything as long as it hold the weight as mine are 7lbs each I used a 25lb hook

Q: Do i water these like regular plants? and the reservoir just catches the extra water? or do remove plant and i fill up the reservoir on it's own?

If the reservoir has water in it, you don’t need to water the plants. If the reservoir is low or empty, yes, just water like normal.

Q: What are the inner dimensions of the black basket?

Apx 6 3/4 inches. I love mine. The bottom of the plastic frame inside of the planter also has room for water holding.
