My nine year old, 2.5 year old, and I love these. But...
Summary: In short, get them. Your kids will like them if they like guns. They're very cool. Yes, the plastic is not solid so if they break with a drop on a hard surface, maybe the manufacturer will help you out (if not, leave a one star review).More detail:I got this and another gun from this brand for my nine year old for Christmas. They sound, look, and feel great. I even enjoy playing with my sons with these (my 2.5 year old also loves them).I agree with another viewer that the plastic is not the strongest but they have survived so far. But if they suffer a drop on a solid surface, not sure what will happen. I don't know why China in general can't seem to produce quality products. I wish these were made in Japan.That said, I feel the price is too high for the build quality. However, the cool factor is there and other toy gun brands were restricted in my area (ridiculous), so I got these and I'm satisfied so far.In short, get them. Your kids will like them if they like guns.

Broken
Ordered for Christmas. My son opened it up and the trigger was already broken. Won't light up or make sounds at all. Trigger just sits all the way back. I pulled the tab so the batteries work so I know it isn't that. Really disappointing.

Fun but weak
I bought this as just a fun item and it was nice, very loud. But the first week I had it the sounds just didnt work and it was lound already I didn’t really care. So a year goes by and this was the first time i had done this. I tripped over a rock with this gun, and the detachable stock broke off. The rail that contented the stoke broke off and i tripped again trying to get glue and broke some more off it but for little kids it.👍
