A Flooring Transition Strip that Did the Job
I searched to find a transition strip that would work best for my newly laid vinyl-plank flooring and an older kitchen vinyl flooring. Found a number of choices but wasn’t sure which one to choose? This product worked very well. The transition strip was able to span over five feet and it is adhering strongly. The color of a wood-grain type had just enough contrast to look perfect and was easily cut with a utility knife. As far as I am concerned it is a great product for this flooring installation job and I will be purchasing strips for two other areas. Well worth the cost.

Decent but Not Perfect!
The floor transition strip has a nice wood grain look and blends well with my flooring. Installation was simple thanks to the self-adhesive backing. However, the adhesive isn’t very strong—it started lifting at the after a few days. It’s okay for light traffic areas, but for heavy use, I might look for a sturdier option.

Works great!
This is great stuff! Easy to work with. I laid it out in the sun to warm it up to straighten it. I have it all thru the house and it sticks great. No problems with it.

Easy to work with transition to replace old saddle
I'm now at 2 weeks after installing, and no problems. They come in a variety of colors to match or contrast with your flooring. The adhesive on the back is strong and even my robot has not caused any issues with it. These come in varying widths and lengths and installing is simply a matter of cleaning any debris, cutting with scissors or utility knife then remove and place in position. I made sure to stomp on the whole surface once I had it in place so the adhesive would stick well from the beginning, as well as rolling it on with my rolling pin. I have one between my kitchen and dining room and another between my kitchen and hallway, 2 different widths because of the flooring gaps below. Only delay in installing was waiting for delivery.

Great product
I love the coverage of the strip. I matches the vinyl flooring almost exactly (gray woodtone). And compared to the cost of the trim the flooring company wanted to charge ($72.00 per 8') it was. a real deal. The length that I received was just enough for the space I have.

Good for what I needed
Let’s be honest, this is vinyl, it is not going to look like fine workmanship. However, it performs as expected. I ordered this as a temporary fix for a spot where my dog ripped up the carpet exposing the carpet nails. Until the carpet is replaced (it’s due) I needed something to keep from impaling my feet on the razor sharp nails. I ordered the 3” wide strip to cover the full area; definitely worth getting the extra width for my application. Some reviewers complained that it did not stick, but I have not had that problem and it has been in place now for a couple of weeks in a high traffic area. I imagine it depends on what you are adhering it to. To be certain it would stick I cleaned the floor first with a mild cleaner and water, then with rubbing alcohol. I warmed the vinyl strip with a hair dryer and pressed the strip on firmly. It is not going anywhere, it is even staying down well on the carpet side. Bottom line: looks like cheap vinyl, but it does what it is meant to do at a low cost.
