I actually ordered the Charcoal canister and the AC Delco Professional 214-2149 Vapor Canister Vent Solenoid together. You should replace the Solenoid also. I did look at the shade tree mechanics on You Tube on how to replace these things. Most of them got it wrong when it came to disconnecting the hoses from the old canister. Instead of fighting with it, you cut off the nipple part flush with the canister housing and once the canister housing is out of the way, its easier to remove the nipple part from the hose. Those hoses are old and stiff. I saw some of these folks break the hoses. I have a cutter tool with a long razor-blade snout and it worked great. Putting it back together worked fine. My old housing was full of dirt and charcoal falling out of it. I can actually put gas in my Avalanche now. I did have a set code in the computer, and I was pretty sure this was the solenoid, and with the new parts, the idiot light has not come back on. Its cured. The two items packaged together will save you over $100 from going to the local parts house. Good luck.

Only had it on for a few weeks...so far so good...

My EVAP system failed. Getting the "tighten fuel cap" message.Inspection found solenoid on engine filled with charcoal pellets.Replaced solenoid, vent solenoid under the vehicle as well as this canister, as the old one has failed.Using low pressure air, I blew out all the lines before installing the new parts. Looking at the pictures.. please note that the small line with the blue clip."The blue clip does not come with the new canister!!"Carefully removed old clip and reused.2005 GMC Yukon flex fuelFits exactly like the OEM part.

I ordered one an it didn't work properly after a week or two I didn't bother to try an get an exchange or refund as I thought my 30 grace period was passed so I just left a negative review. To my surprise some one from the company reached to me an send me another one AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGES. I received it within 2 days of talking with their representative. The new one works great no issues. I would hesitate to order from them again or recommend them yo people in the future

Installation was easy for a 2009 Excalade EXT.!Steps:The Vapor Canister Vent Valve was installed a first, still could not fill up tank.Disconnected the valve and tank plugs to canister.Was able to get gas ($30) in tank before click off. Then got back in line and did another $20.(New canister was ordered). The check engine light on 2 days later.New canister arrived, Installed, then road tested. Check engine light now off. Will do fill up in a dayto give system time to adjust.

This canister was a quarter inch thicker than the original bent back the original holding clips And used Cable ties to secure
