Great small portable oven
I bought this Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro BOV900BSS because my regular oven was not holding the temperature. Specifically my baked goods like chocolate chip cookie were always flat. I tried thermometers in the oven but it was just a problem. Also I thought this might be good in the summer when it is so hot and my husband doesn’t want the oven on. I can put it out on the deck. I love this oven. It uses less electricity. I can finally make chocolate chip cookies that aren’t flat and crispy. It does take some space on the counter top though. It comes with oven racks but you need a cookie sheet/ baking tray. i did a lot of research to find a cookie sheet that would fit. I bought the Nordic Ware Naturals Jelly Roll Pan from Amazon for $16. The size is 15.8 L by 11.3w by 1” high. It fits perfectly and works great for cookies and all other baking. I also bought the Lodge 3 quart Dutch oven from Amazon for my sourdough bread. It fits perfectly in the Breville and my bread comes out just as good as in the regular oven. I was worried about the high knobs on many Dutch ovens but this one fits perfectly.I love that this Breville heats up so quickly and it cools down quickly.Be careful not to put anything on top as it does get very hot when the oven is on. It does come with a round pizza tray. I slide that under the oven for storage. It is very easy to move the racks up and down and there is a legend on the side that tells you which position to use for the different kinds of things you are cooking. It looks great on the counter. The knobs are very simple to understand and you get a beep when the oven is up to temperature. So far I love it and am extremely happy with the cookies and bread!

Remarkable!
What can I say. This oven is amazing! To be able to cook a frozen pizza to as close to perfection as they can get, to perfect, evenly toasted bread, to roasting a tray of veggies - so far it has done everything I've asked of it. Not just done the job, but done it well, without any fiddling. And the fact that it air fries (only tried it once with tater tots so far) and dehydrates (planning to make beef jerky soon), as well as toasts, roasts, bakes and broils - it's just icing and sprinkles on top.The controls are easy to use. I haven't done any phase cooking, not sure just what I'd even need that for. But the rest is fairly intuitive. Now that I've learned to trust it, I can put something on to cook and ignore it while it cooks. I was never really able to that with any other toaster oven I've owned, and there have been several. Others, various brands - cooked unevenly, had to be watched carefully when toasting bread, and just generally were not "set-and-forget" appliances. As a widower living alone, this is the only oven I need 99% of the time. Big enough for a 12" pizza, and easily holds a 1/4 sheet pan. It's a bit slow toasting bread, but the fact that the result is as near to perfect as I've ever gotten from any toaster of any type, a couple of extra minute per 4 slices isn't that big a deal. This oven preheats faster than my GE electric range, and uses far less power. Definite win there.I can't recommend this Breville Smart Oven highly enough. Giving it 5 stars is barely touching on how much I enjoy cooking with this wonderful tool.

As good as a Second Oven in our house.
Our old toaster oven was squealing its convection fan somewhere in a b# tone that drove the family nuts. Finally decided to look for a replacement and I wasn't sure I really 'needed' an air-fryer solution combined with the functionality we've used for years. Boy was I wrong! Compared to the air-fryers I've seen at friends and family, I really liked that this looks and functions as a toaster oven that also includes the air-fryer feature.Easy to use as there are several modes of cooking you select with a dial, then a timer (also a dial) and then push start. I've used it to cook chicken legs (a whole 12 pack) with the air-fryer feature and they turned out great after a few experiments with timing and an instant read thermometer.I like that it's big enough to hold an entire casserole dish, which allows us to cook side dishes while our single oven is focused on the larger or more demanding cooking tasks. I consider this to be as effective as a second oven, with space as the only compromise over a full-sized option. The one downside I would comment on is that there isn't a temperature probe to help with identifying when something is cooked to the correct temperature. This is especially missed with the air-fryer feature being a new addition to our cooking repertoire. For example, I tried using an online airfryer chicken leg recipe to judge how long and at what temperature to cook at; but my instant temp thermometer ended up requiring that I double the time I originally set (not the fault of the oven, just unfamiliar with the function.) I also miss not having a rotisserie feature that our last toaster oven had. I am that odd-ball that used the rotisserie to cook whole chickens and pork tenderloins. Not having that wasn't a deal breaker, and we knew we weren't getting that feature, so nothing taken away from the product that does a great job at what it does. Oh, and one last thing - air frying take a considerable amount of time to warm up (okay, "considerable" is subjective), most noticeable after the timer stops and temp check says it needs to go some more - which surprisingly came with another preheat cycle. However, having never owned an air-fryer before, I'm not sure if this is standard to all air-frying units or not; again not a deal breaker or even a detractor from a 5-star rating, just something new to us.

This is the one
I love this oven. It is well built and does so many things. Easy to clean. Super easy to operate. I saw it at a neighbors house and she so highly recommended it. After looking at the others in this category it became clear that the Breville is heads and shoulders above the rest. Worth every extra penny.I already had an air fryer and didn’t think this would do a better job but it really does. It also makes pizzas better than a large oven and comes with the pizza tray. It heats up small items, like a pot pie, in half the time as a big oven.I just love this thing.
