See pictures. I ordered 24 x 2 inch foam panels. I tried to measure how deep they were but for reference, 2 inch is shown where it should be and its not even clearing a quarter of an inch. Cannot believe amazon are allowing them to sell on here. Absolutely disgusted.

I've had these up for 3+ days now, they haven't inflated/expanded at all, the thickness is roughly 2mm, nowhere near the 2 inches advertised

Like others have said don’t wait 4-5 days it will not come back to form hot water takes minutes to come back and then wait for it to dry.

Don’t bother waiting for them to expand, go straight to soaking them in the bath then dry them off slowly to get the right shape. Foam expands to 2.5cm, sticks well will adhesive spray, good sound reduction.Overall a good product and good price.

There are some poor reviews for this item as while the instructions say to unwrap them and give them 24-48 hours to expand, and maybe put some water on them. but you need to put a lot of hot water on them for them to expand, and you have to make sure it soaks into all of the foam.Also I accidentally spilt a mix of methylated spirits and isopropyl alcohol onto it, they do it even faster, but that is expensive and makes your room smell terrible.

if you need something cheap for the home to deaden a room with a lot of ring or echo, strategically placing these will work just fine. These are for acoustic treatment and not nearly dense enough to also add noise suppression, though that is not their purpose so dont expect it to attenuate more than a little high end from another room. Want a deader sounding room for recording audio? These are fine for the asking price.

I have spent an unnecessary amount of time trying to get these panels to fully decompress. Some have whilst the majority haven’t, with a quarter of many of the panels refusing to expand out to their correct form.I have tried soaking them in hot water, leaving them in the tumble dryer, heating them up with a hairdryer and allowing them to sit in the sun. Even if this were to of worked for all of them, it would have taken so much time, effort and money to get them to be the product ordered.Usually Amazon reviews are accurate but in this instance, I would strongly advise you ignore the good reviews and opt for others that don’t require decompressing like others I have ordered in the past which were so much nicer to deal with.
