Two items of caution. The lamps are sold in pairs but the lamps as furnished are two left-handed units. This means that if you intend to mount them on say either side of a bed, the one on the left will have the switch facing front. The one on the right will have the switch facing the wall - not easy to find when groping for it in the dark. The other issue is that the attachment screws and associated plaster shields are really cheap. Use heavier ones because the arm of the lamp is stiff. Additionally, the mounting plate screw holes do not accommodate mounting on a single stud. The two holes should be vertical.

We wanted something with exactly this look for our bedroom. I measured and measured, decided they'd it, and they did!We use LED lighting and I know that some dimmers fail to match the dimmable lights, but I don't want or need the dimming. I crossed fingers and ordered them. I was mounting to an oak beam, so I used my own screws and they went right up.The dimmers worked smoothly, and we dimed them and hoped for the best. They were wired to a conventional switch by the bedside and door. And they flickered. Intermittently and a LOT.I was involved with a lot of other stuff and didn't get around to directly addressing the issue until today.As a side trip I must mention that the engineers did a lot to ensure they wiring in the fixture is sturdy and safe.Of the two, one settled out and is solid if a bit dim. The other I spend an hour and a half on. You don't want to know what I did, and I absolutely voided the warranty. And I got a straight wire to the bulb and it's brighter than it's buddy. I choose to not care. :-) No more flicker! Yaaa!So: 3 stars 'cause that's all I can do. They are pretty. They fit the decor. I want my hour and a half back :-)So I came to the product purchase page to write a review and noticed I could have returned them! Bought in 2019 and the amazons say I can return them up thru sometime in 2022????? Really? Oh-well. Maybe I'd rather the hour and a half than the hassle of taking them down and sending them back and trashing the merchant's profit margin in the hope that maybe the news wouldn't flicker. So maybe the hour and a half was well spent.I am tempted to go 4-star, but I really hate the flicker..........

Lamps look good, are solidly built and the dimmer switch is good for bedtime reading. Attachment was not a problem, though instead of using the cheap anchors that came with the lamps I screwed directly into studs and lath.

Pretty good deal for the price if you can overlook minor items. As somewhat expected from an imported item, materials are somewhat sub-par; the mounting base is very thin metal and the base of the lamp itself (the square box) is as thin. Which means no matter how well fastened to the wall the mounting base is, you're going to get a little bit of twisting when you want to adjust the lamps. No big deal, but as other reviewers mentioned, there is a chance that the screws and sleeves will pull from the wall. Make absolutely sure the base is secure to the wall using other anchors if needed. The hinges are very tight.. I'm thinking a little WD40 will loosen those up in time.Other than that the lights are great. As another reviewer seemed to miss, the sockets are a dimmer socket. I missed that, too, reading the description and that turned into a nice little surprise. Being a dimmer, you'll need a regular incandescent bulb or a dimmable LED.

I ordered these lamps after reading every review. They are very nice looking and it took my son and I 70 minutes to hang. You will need a drill and bit, a measuring tape, screw driver and a level. I also ordered the matching cord covers. A reviewer complained about the sheetrock anchors being flimsy so I bought extra anchors at my local hardware. We did try one that was supplied with lamps and it broke immediately. Prior to hanging I made sure both lamps would extend and retract in both directions. There was no problem with this. I purchased dimmable LED 60 watts equivalent bulbs and am very pleased with the ambiance it creates. I would definitely order again.

i really like these but i think they should come with longer screws or stronger plastic inserts for the screws or both. i have had 1 fall off the wall because the top 2 screws came out when lightly bumped into and another screw just pull away. i took them down and replaced the plastic pieces with a sturdier one (just last week so early to tell) . The good news is, the one that fell didn't suffer any damage. They are easy to adjust into a convenient position .

THe on/off switches do not stay in place. falls off when touched, shades are white papery cardboard, not linen as advertised, the mounting plates are not the same, neither were the screws. No guarantee, nor model number, nor make of product was included, only a paper showing the diagram, and saying "printed in China". A real disappointment. On one of the lamps, the harp was not wide enough for the "right" bulb as stated on the paper, a standard 43 watt bulb. THe description said to use a 60 watt bulb, not 43. two pieces of junk!!

Loved them but didn't provide enough light to replace my other lamp. I wish they had, would have had to get bigger shades for more light coverage but it wouldn't work - the shades would stick out too much. These lamps are beautiful and look more expensive than they are.

Wall mounted sconces fit on both sides of bed. Each provides a comfortable height and sheds enough light for reading. I appreciate in the dark mornings the lights can be turned on and kept at a low setting.
