I'm glad I bought it
It was a wise decision, first it is as described, second it really works, because I bought it for a 15-year-old dog with mobility problems and who has lately lost strength to climb stairs added that my mother is older and has no strength to wash it, for the three of them it has been a help because we can assist her at the moment and it makes it easier for us to load her into the car; In addition, the design is suitable for hot weather and does not overheat it; The only thing that I did not like was that the belts do not come in the same size and this made it difficult to find the measure, otherwise the clips and other accessories did not require any change

I'm a Veterinarian and I DO NOT RECOMMEND this product
UPDATE: I originally gave this a 5 star review. After using it for a bit I am reduced to 1 star. I'd give negative 5 if I could. A MAJOR FLAW in design and materials has caused a life threatening injury to my dog! First: The rear portion of this harness does not detach completely from the front. This is a double problem: The back section cannot be used separately from the front, and the rear portion cannot be put into the washer to be cleaned. No matter what rear assist harness or sling you buy, there will be some urine and fecal contamination. Even a seemingly surface irritation or abrasion can become infected by contact with the contaminated material. The entire harness needed to be cleaned almost daily to keep it at all sanitary. Second and MOST IMPORTANT: The material used for the straps that go around the dogs hind legs is too abrasive, and if your dog falls between sizes as mine does this results in too loose or. too tight fit due to limits in adjustments on both the leg straps and the strap connecting the rear section to the front. Even if well fit this material will abrade the skin along your dog's inguinal/crotch area or buttocks. I noticed a rub sore on my dog's right side buttocks after about 2 weeks. At that point I started letting the rear straps hang as loops at her side when not in use rather than attached around her legs. The sore got worse despite minimal use with the straps in place (just when lifting) the neoprene strap cover which is also too rough for skin in the area. I stopped using the harness at this point expecting what looked like "rug burn" to resolve quickly. A week later the "rub sore" opened up and is now a deep , draining, and painful fistula. As a veterinarian I have the resources to treat this. It requires bandage changes and flushing several times through the day and soaks before bed in the evening. Also some serious pain meds and antibiotics. For most pets this would be a point where most owners would decide on euthanasia. It is no small task to treat an open wound in this area and it requires constant monitoring and medical care to prevent sepsis. My dog's thigh muscles are visible through the opening in the fistula. I'm just sick that I used this on my dog who is suffering for it. This could have been a great product with better more adjustable design, and better materials more suited to the use and touch points. Measurements for fit should include the length of the dog;'s back and sternum since these are limited or not at all adjustable and effect the degree to which the rear straps can be adjusted for proper fit. The rear needs to be washable and able to be separated from the front to be washed DAILY. As it stands I must caution anybody considering to keep looking elsewhere for a solution. My own 14 year old Lab has age related disc disease complicated by an infection in her spine. This has resulted in some neurological defects and hind end weakness. I tried another harness just for hind end support that would not stay on and put a lot of stress on her back at the junction between her thoracic and lumbar vertebrae. After a lot of research I decided to give this one a try. She is on the small size for a Lab (a fit 47 lbs) so after measuring and reading lots of reviews I purchased according to the chart. I also purchased a strap as it was not clear that the harness comes with one. It does so I am returning the extra. It also comes with a good set of directions. It took me about 20 minutes of fussing to get this adjusted to my satisfaction. It's very easy to get on and off once you get use to all the clips. The multiple areas of attachment are what make this so adjustable. Proper fit is everything as incorrect support for dogs with back injury can actually make things worse. I did need to readjust the straps around the hind legs to get the proper support at the pelvis. This item is well made with sturdy clasps at every attachment point. I love the handles with the option of using a leash at either of the D rings, or using the strap included, it's giving my back a break. I can get my dog in and out of the car much more easily, also up a flight of stairs to go to bed at night and safely back down in the morning. he did walk like she "had a load in her pants" bt is getting use to the straps around her hind legs. It has covers that slide to prevent chaffing of the groin area by the straps. My only real issue at this point is minor. I wish the straps at the front of the shoulders was more adjustable. The next size up would have been much too large over all for my dog. The front shoulder straps just fit my dog and there is no room to lose them up just a bit for added comfort. Front and back, top and bottom is self explanatory once you have the harness out of the package and lay it out. It takes less than one minute to get on (and my dog doesn't always cooperate) and just seconds to get off. And while this should not be left on all day and the dog should not sleep in it, I did fall asleep on the couch and my dog had her's on all night one night. She was fine in the morning and slept quietly. My dog can't curl into a ball anymore to sleep, but if your's still can it would not be able to with the harness on. I am very happy with this product and will be recommending it to my clients who need something to help with back injured or just old dogs that need a little help. Oh, and it's reflective, a big plus for me as we walk at night on dark wooded roads.

Great product but doesn’t work for my dog
It’s a really good product, well made & stylish & would help if my dog would walk in it. But it’s hard to get on/off as it would be with any dog with a disability, so I’d like to leave it on all the time but the straps the shoulders are a smudge too small, so they dig into my dogs shoulders when he sits or lays down, but the rest is almost too big. Also, my dog has barely any fur so would need more padding (I would think) if he wore it all the time.I’ve tried many different products for my dog who has degenerative myelopathy and so far this has been the best that I’ve come across. It would be nice to see other breed/shapes of dogs in their videos, so far they only seem to have corgi shape & a golden retriever for the example of how not to lift a dog, and a stuffed animal. My dogs shape is boxer shape and I’m not sure it’s meant for that long of a dog with that small of a waist. I didn’t get a photo him in it though

Durability
Worth every penny. My 60lb dog had double knee surgery and could not be weight bearing on her rear legs for a month. I thought this would be overkill but when you have a dog that needs help, and then on sedatives so she often got disoriented, you need a way to pick her up. Having the whole body harness was the ticket. The edges of the mesh frayed a little but with constant use and washing, it happens. Would def recommend if you need full control or your dog needs support. Thanks

The large is their biggest size and not a true large. Barely fit my dog.
Great for small/medium dogs. We bought the large for our corgi mix and it’s really not big enough.

Mehhhhhh
I like the ability to help my aging pup from both front and back end. Buckles are difficult to slide and reposition for good fitting. It is also sooooo heavy that it is really uncomfortable for my dog that she cannot tolerate it for even a few hours. It also makes her extremely nervous. There is no consoling her until it comes off, even if we try her thunder vest underneath. Maybe an option for a lightweight material might help?

Good option for dogs with back problems
My 11 year old corgi has back problems that make stairs impossible for him to do alone. I think that this product is well made and well thought out. My corgi prefers the blue Coodeo harness to the point that he refused to even move in this harness. I think this is a great product but my stubborn old boy prefers the other harness made by this company.
