In the many books that are written about this disease, it has been recommended that taking 200 mgs of Selenium along with Vitamin E is beneficial for the conversion of the Thyroid hormones T4 to T3. I cannot attest that this is occurring within my body as this is an insidious disease which is monitored by bi-yearly blood labs. So, 2 x's a year I find out whether my Thyroid is behaving normally.
