Great hybrid…
I love the way this guitar looks and feels. I’ve always had to carry my acoustic and electric around and hassle with changing during the set. This guitar makes it so easy. Sounds great acoustically or electric. Plays very nicely. Weighs less than 6 lbs. for a working musician, it checks all the boxes. I gig with it. I busk with it. I leave my Taylor and Prs at home safely in the studio. Great neck btw.

Quality Issues
Intrigued by Fender's "lower price" version of the Acoustasonic, I thought I'd give it a try. Unfortunately, my guitar arrived with what looked and felt like a knot mid way down the neck. I've owned a few guitars over the last 50 years and my experience has always been negative when I've had guitars with similar defects. Very disappointed in Fender quality, especially at this price point, over $1000 is not a bargain guitar and I expected better, so it was returned. I decided to give it one more try and ordered another one. The second guitar arrived with the packaging showing signs of rough handling by the seasoned professionals at UPS. Fortunately, the instrument did not have any damage from handling, but the fret edges can be felt along the neck (fret sprout). I think this is partially due to the 100+ degree heat it was subjected to during delivery (UPS showed out for delivery at 9am and it arrived 4 hrs behind their delivery estimate at 8pm). Finally got tuned up when the wood stabilized and plugged into my home PA system. This thing sounds amazing plugged in, the acoustic pickup/simulation is very good (sounds like a full size acoustic being played thru a PA). The electric pickup leaves a little to be desired and only sounds "kind of like" an electric (you may get closer to electric sound with an electric guitar amp). That said, all 6 pickup variations provide good sounds that are useable. Bottom line is that this guitar delivers a good variety of useful acoustic sounds, is easy and fun to play, and fits my need (acoustic thru PA) very well. Also, need to mention that the second guitar has finish blemishes on the back. I can't believe Fender quality has fallen so badly. It appears that Fender is unloading seconds/blems on Amazon for the same price as other major retailers. I would recommend buying from another seller where you could get your hands on the actual guitar you're buying and give it a thorough going over before purchase (save a lot of return hassle).

An innovative acoustic/electric
Easy-playing, great sounding guitar. A bit pricey. Very light weight and beautifully finished.

Quality Issues
I think that the Made in Mexico (MIM) is a much better guitar than the Made in America (MIA) version and while it has 4-less guitar sims and one less (internal) pickup than the MIA version, I'm happy that it costs $1,000 less and plays and sounds excellent. However, I'm returning mine (the second one) because of quality control issues. This particular guitar has a neck that was not properly sanded down/finished and the center hardwood used has separated and protrudes (1.4 mm) between the 5th-10th frets.

Good guitar to have in the mix
Nice Tele look and feel, light weight. It’s not gonna be like your Acoustic/Electric guitar! It sounds kinda close but not the same! If you already play an electric Tele it would be good to have too sound more like an acoustic so like I said a good guitar to have in the mix. I play straight through the PA, but if you had an acoustic pedal or thru an acoustic amp it may sound even better as you could EQ it a lot better!!

Wow! What a Guitar
I was hesitant to try something so different. Sometimes when something tries to be everything, it doesn't do any of them well. This lives up and exceeds my expectations. I love just about every voice. Still experimenting but this may become.my favorite gigging guitar. Beautifully packaged so no shipping concerns.
