I bought 24 of these candles for a youth Halloween dance and floated them around the room using fishing line and they worked perfectly! The black wick was perfect to tie under so the line didn't slip off and at the end of the night the wick slipped off then back on with a bit if gentle pressure so we could easily untie them. They are not bright which is what I wanted to use with black lights but gave off enough light to be seen around a very large room. They all stayed on for around 4 hours and the battery is still going strong. I'm not sure how long it will last because I didn't test them past that. These lights are super durable. The youth at the dance kept hitting the lights for the entire 3 hours, sending them flying around the wire they were tied to. Some were broken off the line from being hit so hard. At the end of the night I was amazed to see that not one light was broken. I had so many compliments on how they looked floating around the room and would definitely recommend them for any occasion.

I purchased this twelve piece battery operated votive set for halloween. I ordered the yellow/amber melted wax candles. They're a scant smaller than a standard votive, but they're definitely taller than a tealight. The color resembles dark beeswax. It's almost has a greenish tinge. They flicker nicely sans strobe light effect. The black wicks look authentic and I thought that was a nice touch. They're hard plastic, but they look like real dripping wax. Batteries are included and already installed. I have a similar set of tealights that are much brighter than these. That's my only complaint; I wish they were a little brighter. They're a nice addition to our modest halloween stash.

Photo shows tea light live flame alongside these Led candles. Bought these for altar and ambient lights. Light is not bright but suffuses nicely through body of candle, which is made of a hard plastic. Flicker function is just about right. I especially like that each flame tip has a dark color wrapping, which is a nice detail. Easy on/off button and battery replacement on bottom of unit; I'm testing timer function now. UPDATE: Yesterday evening I left all the candles on and when I woke up they were off. Nifty! I guess it's been 18 hours because they just turned themselves back on. Apparently if you turn the switch on, they will cycle 6 hours on and 18 hours off. If you want to store them, turn the switch to off and pack them away. This is a nice alternative to using a remote to control multiple candles.

Remote would be nice but I'd buy them all over again if I need to; used for final season of game of thrones and worth every penny. I eventually ordered colored ones with remote but... These original, medieval looking candles are the originals and my favorites. They stacked pretty cool, and lasted about 6 weeks. I also had them on like... All the time, so ran through the batteries but I'll be getting more because I love these.

Bought this for an escape room theme get together. They were supposed to be the sutble light source for the room, unfortunately they are clearly decorative only. Yes they light up. But the candles are very small and don't even give enough light source even if all 12 are bunched up together. I would have had to buy at least 6 sets to remotely come close to the desired lighting. They do look amazing and they are cute. They just could not serve the intended purpose for their purchase. I was extremely bummed and seriously contemplated buying 5 more sets.

They look decent but it is plastic so it's not like they look realistic. It was hard to see the light at all even when it was dusk. When it was dark, they really look good! I hope the batteries last a long time because it'd probably cost less to buy another set of candles than replacement batteries. They could be used for Christmas or for other holidays where a person might like some light up candles for a darkened room display. They're small so they wouldn't work well as window lights.

I absolutely love these LED Flameless votive candles. I am using them to add a dim luminous light on my dining room table and living room to go with my Halloween decor. Each light has an on/off switch on the bottom. On my posted pictures you can see the lights on the top and bottom shelves and on the table. They are pretty bright and go perfect with my decor. I may order another box :)

These candles have a very warm glow when turned on (as in the photo). Off, they are a dull butterscotch color that is quite different from the white and ivory colored led votives available. The color and flickering when illuminated resemble real candles burning amidst the orange marigolds of Dia de los Muertos. The black tipped "wicks" lend additional realism. All the candles worked upon arrival, and felt smooth and solid and well made. Since I haven't had them long I can't speak to battery life or how well the timer function works.

These lights are perfect for Hallowe’en decor or if you want an old world look.I can’t comment on the battery life yet as I haven’t had them that long.I personally wouldn’t use them in my everyday decor (caramel coloured) but for my Hallowe’en candles and pumpkins these will work out great!

The votives are almost pumpkin orange in colour which makes them unsuitable to keep in a clear votive unless they are lit.
