Fit great

I bought this for my husband and at his first use he hit his leg! I am so happy it does what it says and protects well. I do want to mention that it says short… my husband is 5-6 and they are as perfect fit if you wear your pants below your belly.

I have an electric chainsaw, which has higher torque than most gas chain saws, so the chaps probably won't stop my saw like they would a gas saw. But, they help with the debris that shoots out of a stump grinder. Also wish the excess waist strap had Velcro to keep it out of the way of my hand mattock which I keep at my back in a belt-affixed hammer ring. I'm sure plenty of forestry guys keep a hatchet on their belts there, too.The face grill on the helmet doesn't go low enough. I get hit in the neck too often. At least make an extension, like I've seen on other forestry helmets.Also, the ear protectors don't quite stay tight enough. Only one side can go in far enough, not both at the same time.

The package arrived a day later than expected. The chaps seem to be of good quality and fit accordingly. The helmet fits well, however the quality is low and not as expected. The visor works well! In the future I would buy all part separate and get better quality.

They’re safety clothes and I expected them to have some weight. If I had know these would fit me I would have purchased these years ago.

Great safety kit for the money. I recommend this for anyone who does any chainsaw work at home or on the job.

Cutting wood

Probably not the setup for someone who wields a chainsaw for a living, but this is a smart value for those of us who do so on occasion. You won't run a good 40 yard sprint in the chaps, but they should safeguard you against a small slip of a running blade. If nothing else, they remind you to be careful with the thing. The hard hat is probably the best part, as it fits comfortably and with the integrated face shield and ear cups, provides a good deal of protection, while still allowing good visibility and mobility. Note that the face shield is a fine mesh, not a solid polycarbonate shield, so wearing safety glasses (included) is still wise. The good thing about this is that the setup isn't too hot to wear in warm weather, encouraging its use.

I am very satisfied with this product.its light and comfortable.
