Bad mounting design Caution.
I should have listened to the reviews. I made a custom bracket and the problem is that the pipe clamp on the unit just buckled on the first test. I have an aluminum trailer it’s not that heavy. I will make a new mounting and have a follow up with pictures.

I knew this going in from other reviews but I knew I could fabricate my own mounting bracket and I did and was able to make it work great. It would be 5 stars if it came ...
Powerful little wheel, using on my 24' travel trailer 5000lb 600lb tongue weight , only downfall is the mounting bracket for the trailer, I knew this going in from other reviews but I knew I could fabricate my own mounting bracket and I did and was able to make it work great. It would be 5 stars if it came with stronger mounting plate, but for the price it is well worth the extra fabrication I did

After that it works great. I have a small folding trailer under 3500 ...
The mounting bracket is a POS, All it did is bend and wobble. Rather then 2 screws it should clamp to the frame. I was able to cut the tube down and mount it in place of the front wheel on my motorized jack. After that it works great. I have a small folding trailer under 3500 pounds. Think hard on alternate ways to mount it.

Mount need improvement, it works, but not real secure. Only used a couple times, works good on hard surface but grass or dirt are problem.

Bracket was not strong enough to hold jack upright when used to move a 4300 lb trailer

Be careful what you use this for
If you want to use it to move a boat on trailer, just don't. My boat went to the ground trying to use this thing. The bracket included is worthless against boat weight. It peeled right out. The metal is not strong and is an odd attaché.

flimsy
The clamp to mount to the trailer frame is too narrow and flexible. Unusable. The sliding part of the shaft is is very loose when extended. I would not use it to move a trailer. By re-building the mounting clamp and adding a strut to keep the jack from bending itself when under power, i was able to use it to move a 600lb cart. I don't see how it could move a 5000lb trailer (as rated) without destroying itself. It's quite slow: about 15 feet per minute. On the plus side, for 600lb cart, it works on 24v and produced a more useful speed. There is no motor controller. Only relays and switches between the power input cable and the motor windings.Other than that, the motor works. Note that if your battery or wiring fails, the wheel locks. There is no clutch.

Good but could be better
I bought this unit to move my boat trailer in and out of the garage. It works well but the only problem is the mount does not tighten enough to hold this unit in place. It’s very sloppy. The mounting design is flawed and definitely needs to be redesigned. It can actually be quite dangerous if you are not careful.

Bracket needs to be improved substantially. It just does not work
I don't understand that after all the comments on the deficiency of the bracket that it has not been improved. Now have to invest US$63 for a proper jockey wheel clamp.Do not use the motorized locker wheel with the supplied clamp.Found this clamp on the amazon web site.https://www.amazon.com/Heavy-Ribbed-Jockey-Wheels-Stands/dp/B01M8O7HEB/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=RIBBED+48MM+TRAILER+JOCKEY+WHEEL+CLAMPS&qid=1620512704&sr=8-1

Money well spent.
Absolutely perfect, Moves trailers both single axle and dump trailer around in tight places..single axles and spin around in a circle due to the handle design. We just clip to a jumper pack and go..

Works as advertised!
It works great and so easy to assemble. We can now move our boat safely and securely on our slanted driveway!
