There’s one rod I’m missing out on my arsenal, and that is a good catfish rod. This rod is a 2 piece 7’6” and makes it easier to transport. I have many one piece rods for tournament bass fishing and they can be a challenge to transport. This rod being a 2 piece makes it easier to transport in my Tacoma and I can leave it in the backseat, for days that I want to just relax and cast some chicken liver out for giant cats.The material is very high quality, the reel seat is very nice. Rod feels very strong and stout and will be able to handle big monster cats! The long handle makes fighting big fish easier as you can place the butt of the handle on your waist line to help with leveraging the fish.Can’t wait to use it on my local rivers! Let’s go fishing!

Ive been fishing all my life, ive had many dozens of rods this is a great low cost rod for big 5 to 70 pound catfish. gives em enough fight pull to keep them off the bottom. yet still giving you a great fight. i use these rods in my guid boat... they areva great rod for Blue Cat, Channel Cat, Flatheads, Walley, Bass, Drum, Gar, Pike, even big asian Carp, Buy it. with the ,60 version level wind reel or a Abu 6500, and fifty pound dacron line i can zing out three ounces over a 100 yards easy.

I like these. They’re constructed well. I tried to bend it slowly back. It holds reels tight as well. I put plumbers tape on my bait caster, and it was tight. It has its flaws, but it also worked great with a 20-pound catfish, hoping it would hold together some more giant cats.
