Q: How is this cane adjustable? I need one that is 35 inches tall.

There are buttons that you press on the side to extend the cane to the correct height. I have mine set at 34" and have another 5 open slots before reaching the maximum height. I am 5'4".

Q: Why won't the cane tip come off I've tried but it won't budge

The tip is super glued in place.

Q: what size base will fit this cane?

The diameter of the cane's rubber bottom is 1 1/2". The circumference is 5". I ordered one of the standard bases offered here, and had to return it because it was too small. I hope this helps.
