I enjoy this little stove. I did not want to spend a lot since I know these have a fairly short lifespan, especially with all the fur in my house. I do vacuum it once a week to remove fur, etc from the back. It heats my small, eat-in kitchen well. I dont know the square footage of mu kitchen but we do have a full size dining table in there, and a small hallway. It does make a bit of noise, but it is more of a background humming, which I actually find soothing. One thing I noticed when I had it in my living room is that if you place the back too close to a baseboard heater, it will give you an error. I assume this is a safety mechanism....it seems as if it senses the back is hot, it shuts off. It does not get hot at all on the top or sides, and the heat that comes out the front is a warm but not scalding heat. I do not worry about my dogs getting too close to it. I do not have children, so I dont know about the heat with a small child, but my maltese is not the brightest bulb and he manages to stay quite safe ;) Its cute, and the flames are decent for the price of the unit. It heats as well as any space heater I have had (electric basebaord heat condo built in '85, so not well insulated. I would recommend.

This unit fits perfectly into the area of the old decorative fireplace. It arrived with a large dent in the blower part of the unit. The shipping box was in perfect condition so I know the dent happened at the factory and they sent it anyway. The good thing is the dent is underneath the unit so it can't be seen. You have to push the remote a couple of times to get the unit to turn on.

When I received my fireplace 2 legs didn't fit the unit so I reached out to Amazon and they contacted OneBigOutlet about the issue. OneBigOutlet reached out to me through email to address the issue. I thought I would receive the 2 legs I needed but OneBigOutlet compensated me with a replacement fireplace instead a few days later! There's just one problem, the screws to the legs won't tighten the legs but all you need is screws that are the same size just a little longer and the legs tighten good and stand firm! I'm really enjoying this beautiful addition to my home and greatly appreciate the timely service to resolve my issue. Thanks again Amazon and OneBigOutlet!

For some reason, the legs are rubbery plastic and not attached with any strength to the body except by short screws. Why they would have gone cheap in this area I cannot understand. You have to be very careful moving it. Apart from this, we love the product.

So far we like the flame effect. Haven't tried the heat yet because box included wrong legs- won't attach. Will try customer service. Also makes a clicking sound when just the flame is on (no heat). A little worried about that but we'll see how it goes. Very pretty!

Wondering why anyone would design a heater with no heat adjustment settings? For real, you can't set or dial any temperature!! It just puts out a factory preset temp which wont work for me. However, it has nine different settings for flame control which probably makes it the best "fire" for the price. Beautiful orange, yellow and blue flames. So, in summary, if you need heat control, don't buy this one. But, if pretty fire is what you really want and don't mind turning it off when you get too hot, this might be a good buy.

Warms up my living room nicely and super cute.Update ( 10/12/2020): I originally purchased this in November of 2018. So it's been almost 2 years. I used it quite a bit but was hoping it would last longer. Today I noticed the heating element is starting to malfunction so I think it's nearing the end of it's life. Maybe I'll put it in my bedroom and just use it for the flame feature.Anyway it looks like I'll be buying a new one and already have this same one in my shopping cart. Although I feel it shouldn't be dying like this after just two years I was very fond of it and it worked wonders keeping my small apartment very warm. So I'll be buying this one again.

Nice fireplace flames look real then most fake fireplaces remote is easy to use the heater is fair does not put out the best heat but enough for small rooms and legs on heater are a little flimsy but other than that is a nice looking fireplace is a good purchase ..
