I actually bought these because I couldn’t find the other two I already had! And wouldn’t you know it the day they arrived I had found both of the ones I had lost! These particular sprue cutters have little bit longer cutting blades are sharp and cut very clean. Honestly I can compare this one with two different ones entirely … and they can cut parts clean that are on longer sprue trees such as ship hulls, large aircraft wings, etc … but in the end they are still just sprue cutters … I love ‘em hence 5 stars … but you can get cheaper ones that are just as good … so this is one of those things where it’s up to you …

very sharp plastic cutters

These have a great cutting action and you can tell they hold up even with heavy use. But they suffer from 2 things that would otherwise make these perfect. The spring is weak and should be changed to any other spring this one is too soft. And the second thing that should be changed is above the grips smooth that hard 90degree edge as with any precision work uncomfortable if you take a high grip. I coated mine with some bondic and rubber coating. Otherwise these are just mild annoyances to a solid tool.

Excellent clippers

This product is written up as precision cutters. I purchased these to assist me in detail work for 3d printing - meaning the cutting is soft material. The cutting is not as quick and accurate as advertised. The spring action is slow return. Not going to return them, but will recommend you not adding them to your tool collection.

Used these nippers for about 2-3 months now for 2 models. I can confidently say these nippers are not durable at all. I can already see a few nicks on the edges. Cannot recommend.
