Transformative Comfort for Senior Dogs
As a dedicated pet parent to a senior German Shepherd, I constantly seek ways to enhance her comfort and mobility. That's why I decided to try the CovertSafe Dog Boots, size 7, after reading Leah W's review for her Belgian Malinois. My dog, like many older canines, struggles with traction on slippery surfaces such as hardwood floors. Moreover, age has not been kind to her back and hips, and she often lacks the strength and grip needed to stand confidently. In the past, we relied on soft sock-type 'shoes' which provided minimal assistance. However, they were no longer effective for her changing needs. Enter the CovertSafe Dog Boots: a game-changer in our routine. We've been using these boots for a couple of weeks, primarily on her rear feet, and the difference is remarkable. What stands out is the practicality of these boots. They protect her paws outdoors, even in dew or light rain, without turning into uncomfortable, wet encasings. The dual velcro straps are a thoughtful feature, ensuring the boots stay securely in place while avoiding any excessive tightness that could cause discomfort. An important aspect to note is the necessity of giving your dog regular breaks from any footwear. To avoid issues like chafing, we have a routine where we put the boots on her at night and during our daytime outings. When someone is home, we give her feet a breather. These boots have significantly improved the quality of life for our aging companion, who faces increasing mobility challenges – a common issue for large dog breeds. It's heartening to see her move with more assurance and less discomfort. For any pet owner witnessing their furry friend's struggle with age-related mobility issues, I wholeheartedly recommend the CovertSafe Dog Boots. They've made a substantial difference in our lives, bringing comfort and joy back into our beloved pet's golden years.

Would recommend!
I have a 65 pound boxer and we got the size 6. They fit him good!Pros:They stay on (just make sure they are snug)Protect his feet from the cold/hot pavement, glass, etc.Con:I wish they covered more of his hands and feet and not just the paw. As you can see in the 2nd picture, they don’t cover much past his paw. This is fine if we are just walking on normal pavement, but if we walk through snow, the snow does tend to fall into the booties because of how low they are.Overall they are decent quality and do the job of protecting his paws which was my main concern.

No troubles getting dog to wear
Our dog is allergic to pretty much everything outside, and one of the areas to suffer the most are his feet. He gets really red, irritated, severely itchy skin between his toes and pads three out of four seasons. We clean off his feet after every trip outside, but that option gets really expensive, really quick with buying wipes, paper towels, paw cleaner, extra laundry, etc. We delayed getting him booties since we weren't sure how he'd react.Well, finally we decided to go ahead and buy a set. Turns out he doesn't mind wearing these at all. His back paws are incredibly ticklish, so not having to go through the torment of that every time he goes outside is probably the better deal in his doggy mind. After a couple of minutes of wonky walking to get used to the feel of the booties, he was off romping in the yard. We still need to clean the booties (wipe down the bottoms after each trip outside if they are dirty, and toss in the laundry every so often to keep the insides clean), but it's a heck of a lot less work - and cheaper - than wiping his paws after each jaunt. The velcro straps keep the booties securely on his paws, and there is plenty of room for his toes and nails. We got the largest size available just in case, and we're glad we sized up one size. This allows his toes to freely spread like they normally would if his paws were bare. He doesn't suffer from lack of balance or steadiness when walking or running, even over uneven ground.Since these are used so frequently and as we do launder them, I suspect we will need to replace the two sets we have before the year is over. These booties are well made and seem to be comfortable for him, but like any shoe the tread on the bottom starts to wear down. We try to clean out the velcro as much as possible, but that can also start to loose grip over time. For as much as he wears these and the time and energy saved not having to clean off his paws several times a day (not to mention making less trash or using as much electricity and water), we will 100% get our money's worth. Now we feel pet parent guilt for not buying booties sooner!!!

Stay on but limited durability
These shoes were exactly what I was looking for, double wrap around velcro closure. They stay on nicely for my golden retriever. The only issue I have is the Velcro is not high quality and breaks (tiny plastic loop and hooks break off) after repeated opening and closing. I've had these shoes a year and have used them maybe 30 or 40 times. One shoe the strap completely won’t adhere anymore due to lack of Velcro. Other parts of the shoe are wearing pretty well but I will look for a higher quality replacement.

Took some getting used to but very nice
Grabbed these for our 40-lb pittie mix so she could do some cold weather hiking. It was a bit of a challenge to get her used to them at first but they're of very good quality and will protect her feet on the snowy trails. I would recommend sizing up especially if you have a particularly fluffy dog like a doodle. Stitching seems nice, traction seems good, and overall I think these will keep our pup's paws toasty.
