Perfect size, adjustable and good quality fabric.
Love this jacket and will be purchasing more. Great material, fits perfect, true to size and looks just like the picture. My dog is mix Chihuahua, dachshund, and other breeds so he is short in height, big chested and long. I got him a Large. The 17 in. in length fits him perfect, he doesn't have a lot of hair or thick hair so this covers him well from his neck to where his tail starts. I also love the stretchy material around the chest which helps fit more comfortably if your dog is big chested like mine. Also the velcro makes it very easy to put on. The jacket is reversible with two different materials making it nice and cozy and it has a hole in case you'd like to put a leash through it.

English pup
I loved these coats for the winter wear. My pup hated to put this coat on, but the coat is too small now, and I will have to purchase this item again. The color was perfect. Very easy to put it on your pup.

Decent lightweight coat
I guessed the wrong size for my barrel-chested 80 lb Labrador and ordered the 3XL, but really needed 2XL. The good news is that the way this secures around the neck and then with a velcro panel on each side is very forgiving, and we've made it work. The velcro is super strong. The coat slips just a little, but not to where it's a problem. I thought my dog would be freaked out a little since he's never worn a coat before, but he was happy as a clam and did his business as normal on our first walk. I bought the red/burgundy color and think it looks fantastic.I saw one review that said this doesn't work for male dogs, and I disagree (or maybe the design was adapted) - in the panel that goes under the belly there's a cutout that provides space so that it doesn't interfere with peeing. It's not a super-warm coat in my opinion, but it's much better than nothing, and I think it would be a good multi-season coat. It's been very cold and snowy here (negative digits with windchills), and I think the functionality provided was to keep cold/wet off his fur and provide a thin insulation layer to keep in some body heat. My guy is older and has arthritis in his shoulders and hips, and I was surprised that this made a significant improvement for him. When it's cold it's like his hind legs seize up a bit and he finds it harder to move, and while this coat doesn't cover anything except the top of his legs, it definitely made a difference - it's only been when he's stopped moving to sniff around for an extended period that he's had a problem, when moving it's been just fine which was awesome! My only knock is that I think the coat is a bit pricey for what it is. I needed something fast because I wasn't well-prepared for the weather. But at a local store the other day I saw something comparable in design, but thicker, for half the price.

All Dog Coats Aren't Created Equal!
I bought 2 of these mainly because of the "#1 best seller in dog cold weather coats". I took the advice of a reviewer who said to mainly match the chest girth. Both of my dogs are 30 pounds and have 22" chests (which s/b size L according to the sizing chart) and 13" necks (which s/b size M). I went with the large and they fit perfectly. If your dog has a little larger chest, this will accommodate easily, probably a bit more than the 24.4" max. on the chart. The underside is stretchy and will be quite comfy on him/her. I'm also glad I decided on large so their back is covered more than the medium would've allowed. Doesn't go all the way to their tail, but it's a good length.I quickly found out the easiest way to use them is to keep the neck velcro stuck together and only undo one of the of the two belly velcro strips (one behind each front leg). You can then easily slip over your dog's head, then put the leg through the hole which has the velcro stuck together, and lastly fasten the other velcro. When taking off, just undo the one velcro, put the other leg through the hole and pull off over your dog's head. We haven't worn in the rain yet so I can't say how waterproof they are. But it's below freezing here and I have the colorful fabric on the inside (with the ski jacket material on the outside). My dogs love them so much they want to keep them on even in the house! These dog coats are very well made and you won't be disappointed. Fair price.

CARL APPROVED.. looks like a taco.
This jacket is soo funny to look at.. but it does the job! Carl doesn't mind the size and he's even carried to kennel to keep it close.

Really easy to put on
I have now tried a handful of different jackets for my 15-pound Chihuahua mix, and this little jacket is the best we have tried so far. I like that it has Velcro openings on both sides, so it is easy to put on. You don't need to jingle his legs through the openings; you can just pull the under-tummy piece through his front legs and strap it on both sides. Due to the velcro openings and stretchy tummy piece, the sizing is also very flexible, which is a plus as I have struggled to find a good-fitting jacked for my deep-chested boy.As you can tell from the picture, the jacket (size M) is maybe a bit too long for him (14-inch body length). However, I like that it is loose around his shoulders, and we can easily fit the harness underneath it. If you are in between sizes, you might consider sizing down. The jacket also is surprisingly waterproof. It was pouring yesterday, and the jacket kept Freckles dry for the quick pee break we had to take. You can turn the jacket inside out to get the waterproof layout outside. It keeps him warm nicely on the chilly California mornings but might not be enough for actually cold climates.
