Maxi Snax Pax - win!
The Maxi Snack Box is like the elusive treasure of snackdom, not found in ordinary shops but hunted down by the greediest snack lovers. The packaging might scream youthful enthusiasm, but let me tell you, it's not just for the kiddos. Grown men seem to love it just as much, proving that you're never too old for a snack adventure. It's not your average present – it's an extraordinary journey into the world of munchies that defies age stereotypes and leaves taste buds cheering. Snack on, my friends, snack on!

Good selection of snacks
I ordered this maxi snack box because I was curious as to what snacks would be inside. I'm not very adventurous when it comes to buying snacks, I stick to brands that are known to me, my partner is more so, I thought he'd give the savoury snacks a go. I've never ordered this type of box before so had nothing to compare it to. You get a lot of choice and i was surprised how much fit into quite a small box. Some of the items were similar to our brands . My partner wasn't actually keen on any of the savoury snacks he tried though. We both are the sweet snacks and thought they were ok. I wouldn't purchase anything like this again to be honest, I really just stick to what I know. If you like trying different things this is a good way to do it. There's even a game included for all the family to join in and get involved with.

Great fun - a ‘discovery’ snack box!
This is an interesting range of savoury and sweet snack foods that are a bit out of the ordinary for us Brits. I would say the main decider as to whether this would be a successful purchase for you would depend on how adventurous your kids are (or you - if you’re buying them for yourself.)If your kids are the type who only like things a certain way - the type who will reject the LIDL ‘Mars bar substitute’ because it’s not exactly like the original, or refuses to eat supermarket own brand crisps because they are not exactly like Walker’s - well, probably not the thing for you to try.On the other hand, if your kids are like I always was, curious and fascinated to try different things - like checking out the different snacks and chocolate bars on holiday in France or Spain, etc., then trying out and discovering the nibbles, wafer and choccy-biscuit bars in this box will be a mini-adventure!There’s 21 different snacks in this box; five are savoury and the rest sweet, including a bag of freeze-dried apple pieces, some Turkish delight and a tube of chocolate spread, so quite a variety. They are from Turkey so all the labelling is in Turkish, however, they all have a sticker with a clear ‘best before’ date (all well in advance) in English and, included in the box, there are a couple of sheets printed in English which describes each of the products and list the ingredients and nutritional information. They comes nicely presented in an attractive box and would be a good stocking filler or something to take on a car journey or just for snacking or lunchboxes - if your kids are up for that little bit of ‘taste-adventure’. I think that will be rather fun and as my son is always game for trying new and different foods, he’ll enjoy these. The only thing I think you need to consider carefully is the fact that the English version of ingredients is on the separate sheet and not on the snack packaging itself. That means the person with the sheet (probably you!) will have to take responsibility for allergies and things like that. My wife and I did discuss putting some of these in our Halloween trick or treat basket but realised we couldn’t do that because the kids that took the snack away with them wouldn’t have that allergy information available so is just something you’d need to be aware of.

A fun taste adventure!
From the description and from the ‘maxi’ snack boxes I’ve bought in the past, this on arrival was surprisingly small. An attractive looking box though, colourful stripes and a sleeping sloth on the branch of a tree, shrink-wrapped in plastic. Under the plastic is a full-colour information sheet listing the ingredients in English. On one side you get the nutritional information such as calories, fats, sugar etc and there is a picture of each item and it’s name, making it really easy to identify each snack and then, on the reverse you get the full list of ingredients for each named snack. This sheet is included because the actual snacks are Turkish obviously and don’t have any writing in English on them. When you open the box up, you realise you haven’t been short-changed at all, it really is crammed with stuff, there’s no shredded paper or bubble wrap filling in here, it’s packed full of snacks, 21 in total. A mix of sweet and savoury but mostly sweet. There’s also at the top of the box another colourful info sheet with fun facts, information, background to, and random info about each snack. It’s quite a good fun way to engage children who might otherwise be reluctant to try new things, to actually take a real interest in finding out and trying stuff they’ve never seen before. In terms of shelf life, I received my box in October 2021, the box has a sticker on the outside declaring an expiry date 31.03.2022, and on checking the snacks inside, they varied from March 2022, right up to July 2023! So no concerns on that score. If you have allergies, or specific dietary restrictions then obviously you would need to take care checking all the information on the sheets provided but the information is all there and they’ve made it easy to read and easy to identify the snacks from each other. Can’t fault the packaging or the marketing and we’ve thoroughly enjoyed trying everything out. Enjoyed some more than others, obviously, but I’d give the box as a whole a big thumbs up.Hope you found my review helpful?

Overall decent box but way too many sweets.
I prefer a balance of salty and sweet. This had a lot of sweets and just a couple of salty items.
