Replacement Filters

These filters are the set you need for the Watts UF-3 water filter. You buy this whole pack for 1 year's worth of filters The way it works is every 6 months, you need 1 red and 1 blue. Then you need the 1 purple replaced once a year.Replacing them is physically very easy. you don't even need to turn off the water supply. just push the button over each filter, grab it, empty the water from it out into the sink, and chuck the old one. To install the new one you simply remove the colored cap, then push the filter up into the filter head. Take note of the color on the head and make sure you are putting the right filter into the right spot. The heads tilt out if you need more flexibility. Push it in until it clicks and you will hear and feel the pressurized water flowing into the filter you just installed.Overall I like the filter. The water tastes great, and it filters so many things out that you really feel it has cleaned up your water to a very good level. The price is great for a year's worth of water filtering. It is much less than some other filters out there and it's extemely easy to change. Absolutely love this product

I've had Reverse Osmosis water filtration at many homes over the years but became concerned with the amount of water wasted through the RO process every day. I moved our water filtration and that of our adult children to the Watts Premier WP560039 Pure UF-3 Filtration System and will never go back. The system deliver water when you want and need it. No tank to run dry. Changing the filters with the Watts Premier WP560039 Pure UF-3 Filtration System Water Filter Replacement Cartridges is easy and fast. A simple flush of the new cartridges and you are ready to get better water at the push of a handle. Changing the filters on schedule keeps water from tasting weird (chlorine vs chloramines) of bringing contaminates from the local water supply into the food and beverages in the home.

These filters are easy to install once you get the hang of it. The hard part is getting the existing filters out, especially if the unit itself is not in a convenient location. But once you figure it out, it's easy. The set of 5 filters is sufficient to last one year. And even though the filters are a bit costly. we never need to but bottled water, which ultimately saves us money and also helps save the planet. You can definitely taste the difference in the water we drink. The taste isn't as good as a true reverse osmosis system, but these filters are much less expensive and much easier to maintain. We also like that the water flow from the unit is strong and constant (it doesn't slow if we fill a large pot or container) where true RO systems are slow to replenish if you use a lot all at once.

I am adding my own review after reading too many uninformed people complaining that they this system does not reduce TDS (total dissolved solids). If you want to remove dissolved solids you need to run a reverse osmosis system. Therefore: Monitoring TDS levels is most helpful if you have a reverse osmosis system. Reverse osmosis is intended to take everything out of the water including naturally occurring minerals (TDS). You would expect to see a very low TDS level with a reverse osmosis system (< 50ppm). If you have an ultrafiltration system, one of the benefits of this style of filtration is that it keeps healthful minerals in your water. As a result there will be a healthy level of TDS in your water. A lot of folks make the switch from a reverse osmosis system to an ultrafiltration one and panic when the TDS reading is not close zero, or around the TDS level their RO system provided. A reverse osmosis system should be removing everything including the minerals; ultrafiltration retains healthful minerals. As far as this particular system, I think it works quite well in improving taste. I do wish that the filters were still around $80 per year rather than closer to $100, but I'm glad they are still easily available.

This is the best price I could find on the one-year filter replacement kit for the Watts Premier UF-3. They are easy to install and we've no problems with leaking under the sink.

Absolutely fantastic filter that gets rid of most harsh, hard chemicals. This one does not distill water (does not get rid of all the additives from the water) as I read it was bad for you. It does however filters sand, soil, all kind of other nasty things. The water tastes ABSOLUTELY amazing!!! You can really taste the difference when drinking from the public fountain, at someone's house or anywhere else. I stopped buying bottled water long time ago as it is not regulated at all by any agencies in addition to it containing all kinds of absolutely nasty chemicals. By installing this filter you save money, environment and your health!Installment is comparatively easy, but does include some tools and time. The whole process room my husband about an hour. The good news is that once it is installed, you just change filters when it is time. They are pretty bulky under the sink, take about 6 inches of space from the wall to the inside of the cabinet.Brits filters are waste of money compare to this. Also, these are so much more convenient and hygienic! Love them!

Great filters, this pack lasts a year. I have used this brand for 10 years.

These filters work great for our water (South Carolina coast) which is heavy in minerals but overall low in pollution and colliform contamination (intestinal bacterial mostly from live stock drainage) according to the annual water report. The tap water has a musky smell related to the naturally occurring bacteria in the lake during the summer and heavy chlorine taste so we purchased the Watts Premier 531130 Filter-Pure UF-3 3-Stage Water Filtration System and have changed once. We have been using the water filter for about 1 year now and are very happy with the water flow rate and quality. We use this water filter several times and day including watering plants and boiling for cooking. It has a noticeable degradation in water quality at the 6 months mark but again your rate of changing will depend on your usage. We probably don't get much use of the micron filter as our water is essentially void of pathogenic organisms. Watts recommends changing the micro filter (purple) once a year. The others are changed in 6 month increments hence while you receive two of the blue and red filters. It really doesn't make financial sense to purchase these separately if you can even find them.Changing the filters is easy but I recommend releasing the water pressure by turning off the water supply and turning on the counterpart supply. I learned the hard way that changing these filters with full pressure can result in water return into your face. Have a towel and bucket/pan ready because there will be some water drippings regardless.

Es muy bueno, ojalá que se pueda describir la compatibilidad con otras marcas, en ala CDMX solo se encuentran en Home Depot

Have been use this under sink filter for couple years. Its super easy to change the filter for someone not handy enough like me. I can do it all by myself and no need to call the technician and cost extra money every year.Usually I change once a year, but sometime the taste of the water remind you "Its time to change your filter" as the water taste has changed to pure and sweet after the filter has been changed.

Great product. Water taste great. Easy installation even though I had to spend a few bugs to buy hose adapter.A couple of things to mention why I am not rating 5 stars.1) it comes with faucet. ( not everyone necessary needs one)2) It comes with three filters but two of them are good for only 6 months and one is good for a year. It does not make sense especially if you can not purchase individual filters and buy them in a bundle of three.

I have been using these filters on my system for 4 years now. Does a wonderful job and I really like the quick change of the cartridges. This is the second time I order replacements and I am very happy with the quality and ease of use and the quality of the filtered tap water I get.I use the filtered water for all that is drink related. The ice cubes made with the filtered water are completely transparent, assuring me of reduced to zero solids in the water. Excellent stuff

The replacement pack works, and I like the results. However, after about 2 years I also had to replace the unit itself - something went wrong the plumber couldn't identify and replacing all the filters didn't help - I suspect the cheap plastic valve under the sink (the one on top is nice). So I recommend factoring in replacement of the unit itself every two years, as well as the replacement filters, in any cost assessment.
