Expensive but it’s worth it. It tastes rich.

Balanced, beautiful
This is a surprisingly lovely tea, I’m mostly drinking first flush - and didn’t want a too strong tea, but this is turned out to be just perfect.Wonderful flowery aroma, has a not biting or too adstringierend character, smooth; perfect tea throughout the whole day. Drinking it evening too, not disturbing sleep.

Taste great and wonderful care
Thank you Vahdam! I never expected such a wonderful care of the tea taste and freshness. I was surprised when I saw the tea in a vacuum sealed bag, and in addition, an extra zipper bag; thus, I can keep my tea as much full of taste and fresh as possible. Even though I have bought tea around the world, I think this is the first time that I found out your customer care. Again, thank you

authentic and fragrant
*EDIT - 9/19/24* Vahdam's team reached out to me regarding this issue and did everything in their power to make my issues right!I'll leave the original review for transparency, but I've also added more stars to the review because the quality of the tea is top notch, smells amazing, and I respect a company willing to address the concerns of their customers.Originally I was skeptical because only one bag was loose and flowing, and thought the other one wasn't good, but I was mistaken. The hardened bag was just how the leaves responded to being vacuum sealed. I took the suggestions of the AI assistant as authority on the product and kind of left it at that. But I was wrong, and I will most definitely be buying more of this tea in the future!Thank you Vahdam*OLD REVIEW* I bought this product back in March and just noticed today that out of two bags there is one bag that feels normal and the other that appears to be as hard as a brickSomehow within the vacuum sealed bag and according to the AI assistant, may be unfit for human consumption. Please be careful.

Tea ratings…
This tea in my opinion explodes with “real flavor “. Rated SFTGFOP1, the best. This is an honest review and hoping the price stays reasonable. This tea is buds and leafs, and when brewed you can see the unfurling of flavor. Enjoy.

Thoughtfully packed.
Amazing stuff.. 2 vacuum sealed bags of chai tea.. I really enjoy how the distributor has anticipated my needs and questions. Quality seems to be top shelf.. flavor is really nice.

Sloppy Amazon packaging
Love the second flush tea, and kudos to Vadahm for the tough leak proof inner foil package. Before someone at the Amazon warehouse packaged my tea it was soaked with what seemed to be laundry detergent. The bag and the inside of the Amazon envelope was soaked, but the inner foil kept the tea unsullied. Thanks Vadahm.

OK, but neither smokey nor very black, and packaging is far from earth-friendly
THIS REVIEW IS SPECIFIC TO THE 'SMOKY ASSAM'It arrived quickly, the packaging was ok but overengineered* I'd suggest that the BOX the air-compressed tea bag comes in be redesigned: why use a PLASTIC-coated paper-box, that is then impossible to recycle, if you are trying to go fully plastic neutral? And most people will not notice its plastic-coated, will recycle, and hence ruin a batch of recycling with the infamous 'Wishful Recycling'*Also, seriously, we do not need a SECOND mylar (or whatever non-recyclable material bag that is) to store the tea! Either trust a tea drinker to have a proper glass jar <we all have tons of Mason jars, or even jars recycled from other products!> or other well-sealed container to protect a good tea, OR just put it in the bag with a closure-foldable tab to begin with, or with the ziplock one, and heat-seal it as is done with coffee and other teas. I'll cut the top, and fold the bag down and close it with the metal bendy-tab as always, or squeeze the air out and ziplock it.WHY TWO BAGS to do the job one can do? What a waste, and completely antithetical to what you say the company is all about! From the description: "CERTIFIED PLASTIC NEUTRAL - We offset plastic in our packaging by funding the removal of an equivalent amount of plastic from the environment" How about instead of off-setting with a payment, you instead REDUCE the plastic and other non-renewables such as the plastic-coated paperboard box from your packaging to begin with, please?THE TEA - Package has it harvested Aug 2020, with packaging Sep 2021, so well within a normally good date for a well-kept tea. No problem there, BUT...This is definitely not a very smokey one! While the leaves are nice and long, fully unfurling to a nice size, and there are golden tips throughout the dark ones, the scent upon opening was definitely underwhelming. Yes, I did read the description thoroughly before purchasing, and it most def is not (ALL CAPS is my emphasis of what it IS NOT) "... an IMPECCABLY SMOKY TEA. Its long, loosely-rolled leaves are selected from the upper elevation estates of Assam which provide that elusive burst of DELECTABLE OAKWOOD SMOKINESS at the outset..." as per the description, nor does it possess "...UNIQUE SMOKY FLAVOURY Assam Tea | RICH & MALTY Black Tea Loose Leaf | SMOKY & DELICIOUS Black Tea Leaves" from the title. In the long description it also mentions "...LIVELY CUP" AND "...IMPRESSIVE AROMA" and more. It is none of those things.I initially started with the suggested instructions (2 gr, 5 minutes, 200ml water at 100 C), and it was underwhelming to say the least. I knew it was not a Laspsang Souchong, so did not expect the punch of that old fighting tea, but neither did I expect to detect just about NO smokiness, neither dry nor wet, nor to have it very water-looking, and weak tasting. The second brewing was even worse and much weaker, also totally unexpected. I expect about 3 decent brewings, each a bit weaker than the previous, but not completely watery at the 2nd.normally use 2-2.5 grams for 250 ml, so this higher tea amount for a lower water amount should have resulted in a much stronger brew. Yeah... about that... NOPE! Little to no smokiness, fairly weak flavour overall, and one that does not hold up well to cooling even.I normally love Vadham, and I regularly and eagerly buy their Earl Grey, but this one? A big disappointment.

This is THE Darjeeling tea I was looking for, this is 100% authentic Darjeeling tea.
I am super excited to write this review, as an individual who grew up drinking Darjeeling tea in the house, I know tea. Take it from me, I have tried many many brands of tea in North America over past 11 years, but nothing comes to the rich aroma and flavour of Darjeeling tea. However, getting authentic Darjeeling tea is always a challenge. In past I have tried other vendors for Darjeeling tea, but had limited success. This time I was blown away. The same rich aroma, the same delicate flavor, this is 100% authentic Darjeeling tea. The packaging is extremely impressive, vacuum sealed to preserve freshness. They also provide a zip lock bag to keep the leaves. Very thoughtful. I strongly recommend this product. 10 out of 5 stars!
