Best Cork Grease for My Clarinet!
I think the Vandoren Clarinet Cork Grease is the best I've ever used! It keeps my clarinet in great shape and makes it easy to put together. I definitely give it five stars!

Vandoren CG100B Clarinet Cork Grease
I have been seriously sleeping on the quality of Vandoren products. I just recently picked up the clarinet again after almost 20 years since I last played. When I originally played the clarinet in jr. high, I always used Rico products since that was what was cheap and available. But after seeing the quality of this cork grease by Vandoren, I might just give their reeds a try next. The cork grease works better than what I remember from Rico and does not have that greasy residue that I have experienced in the past. As a bonus, the scent, while subtle, is actually tolerable.

Excellent for greasing your cork.
Let’s just say my saxophone and I were having a bit of a friction problem. Every time I tried to slide that mouthpiece on, it was like trying to fit into skinny jeans after Thanksgiving dinner—awkward and painful. Enter cork grease, my savior in a tiny tube. 💦Now? That mouthpiece slides on so smooth, it's practically flirting with me. One dab of this magic grease and my sax is slipping and sliding like it’s ready for a hot date. No more awkward sticking, no more embarrassing squeaks—just pure, sexy saxophone action. 🎷And the best part? It’s got this subtle, tantalizing scent that makes you want to use it. I’m not saying I almost mistook it for lip balm, but I’m also not saying it didn’t cross my mind. 😏If your saxophone needs a little extra love and care, cork grease is the way to go. Your sax will thank you later…trust me. 😉"

Works well, but I just don’t like the scent
This is perfectly good cork grease and does its job well. However, I found the scent distracting while playing. It’s not a bad smell by any means; I would describe it as bubblegum-like. If you’re like me and those kinds of scents bother you, I’d suggest looking for a different brand of cork grease.

Chapstick works too
This is essentially “chapstick for woodwinds”. I own Great Highland Bagpipes and medieval recorders. This isn’t good for any rubber seals or I-ring seals on bagpipes but is perfect for the natural cork to wood joints on recorders. The remaining parts of chapstick that you can dig out with a used Q-Top (remove the used cotton) also works just as well but is less “professional”

Does the trick
The price was right and the name is a trusted brand. I used to use it for clarinet, but it actually worked fine for my students' recorders as well.
