Great e-bike Rack
Replace older Yakima rack that was hard to lift heavier e-bike on and may not be rated for their weight. See second picture.New rack had 3 basic adjustments to make it easy to fit, load, and strap down 2 60 lbs e-bikes for stable reliable transport. First was to move the end wheel cradles out to match the wheel base. This required a Phllips screw driver. Second was to position the wheel straps to pull both wheels towards the center at a 45 degree angle. This required a 10 mm box or socket wrench. Since both bikes have the same wheel base I just duplicate the positions on the second rail. Last I staggered the rails to stagger the handlebars so they don’t interfere. In the picture, since I load the bike closest to the SUV first, I moved its rail to the left. When loading the second bike you don’t have to pass the first bike’s handlebars. This adjustment is accomplished by loosening the hand screw knobs on the bottom of th rack. The non-elastic straps are easy to tighten and release unlike the older rack with rubber straps the required more hand strength than l have. The stabilizer bars and straps are easy to adjust to find good positions to hold the bike upright and maintain separation. Also don’t require cross bar adapter for step over bike. Includes nice cable lock. Optional hitch pin lock should have been included. I think the cable lock can lock to hitch pin but then very inconvenient to take on and off.Hitch folds up close to car and tilts down with bikes on to allow access to rear hatch but definitely a 2 person job. Finally the ramp works great to roll the bike up on the ramp. I goose this bike’s throttle to make it an easy 1 person job even with battery installed. Some could just lift the second bike on.A newer model with higher weight capacity is available but with a discount on my older model it s a great value. The reason I didn’t set up the rack so the bikes were head to tail is so I can park where I only have to think about the ramp having to stick out one side and many 2 bike covers are designed for both bikes facing the same direction.Note rated bike weight capacity goes way down if driving off road.

This bike rack works very well with two Pedego Element bicycles.
Bought this rack to transport two Pedego Element Electric bikes with our 2024 Honda CRV. The rack made the trip from Florida to Maine and back without any issues. The bikes fit perfectly. You will need to order the longer straps for the wheels. Remove the batteries from the bikes to lower the carrying weight of each bike n the rack. Ours’ has the 1.25 hitch. This is solid rack well made and easy to install and load bikes on.

very good for heavy bikes
Until this year I had standard bikes that topped out in the 30lb range. I could use their top tube, or a crossbar adapter. My new bikes are 50lbs+ and really need to be supported from the tire-side up. Also, a crossbar isn't up to the task of heavy low-step bikes. After plenty of research, I order the onramp and it turns out to be fit for the job. It's sturdy in my car's 2" hitch receiver, and using the threaded hitch pin, it stays in place on long drives. You're suppose to torque it down to 100 fl-lbs which is a little nuts for something that's not permanent. Definitely buy a 24mm wrench, the included wrench is fine in a pinch, but not for the long term. Also know that the included security cable locks to the hitch pin. This isn't really high security stuff, but fine to stop grab-and-go thieves. The ramp onto the carrier is a great feature. Loading up your car isn't simple, but with some practice it only takes about 10 minutes for both bikes, provided you have plenty of room. The clamp to the bike frame works well, even for low step bikes where you will use the seat tube. You'll have to figure out how to attach it to your bike, and it's loose as-is for a typical 1" steel/aluminum tube. You'll need some pool noodle foam for the long term.Anyway, very good well-engineered quality product at a good price. Would recommend.

This was so well worth the cost for our Ebikes 3 years using it
I was so glad to find this on Amazon. 3 years update. It pulled 2 large E bikes over many miles and has held up great on back of pickup we flat tow or on back of motorhome this is a rock solid rack stilllEveryone else had none is stock anywhere for Ebikes. It’s was a lot of money but let me say you get your money’s worth. We invested in 2 Rad Ebikes. A lot of money and we wanted a super sturdy bike rack to add to rear hitch of Ford Ranger which we flat tow behind motorhome. Not only was this Rac certified to carry behind motorhome hitch it also was the only one certified to be on towed vech behind motorhome. It’s solid as a rock there is no movement on this rack which drivingbon rear of truck. It’s super easy to remove bikes and load them off. It comes with a ramp that attaches to bike rack when not using. The ramp works fine but I am strong enough to lift ebikes in place on rac without ramp. But for someone who does not have the Strenth the ramp could make a big difference to owning the ramp. The heavy cable goes around both bikes and lock to the hitch pin end. Making the lock a very secure setup. It’s a heavy cable but someone who wants to can with bolt cutters cut it off is anything really secure these days.We just completed our 1 st 1000 mile pull with the bike rack attached behind pickup which was flat towed behind motorhome and it went just fine. I added a full waterproof cover over bikes which does block out the rear Break and turn signals of truck. So I modified the bike rack by adding skin style trailer lights and a lic plate holder that lights as well so I am legal driving down the road as well as safer so car behind us know when we turn or break. If you don’t use a bike cover I suppose you won’t need to do this. But spending 3 grand on Ebikes I want them covered and no body knowing what I am covering.

Too narrow and flimsy, does NOT meet the description.
This does NOT allow even a 3 inch tire to fit, and the ramps flimsy at best. When I tried to return, I was charged a 50% fee because I had attached it to my hitch just to see if it would fit the bike, which it did not. However, because of that they said it was used. Do not buy this bike rack.
