Works well
Set up was pretty easy. I’ve used this product for about a month and it has worked as it should. Has many different labels so can be set up in different ways. Would recommend or buy again

Worked great
Worked great for grandma’s pills. A little tight to fill. It would be nice if it came with one more key and a screw lock for the battery if dropped. It did not lose memory if batteries changed quickly,

Works great
I bought this for an elderly friend who was having memory issues and couldn't remember if he took his medicine. This machine works great. It has multiple schedules so you can customize the meds for different times of day. It is easy to program. The pill cups hold 4 or 5 large pills and holds 6 or 7 medium to small pills. I know that he is getting the correct medicine everyday. The alarm sounds and keeps going off until the machine is turned over which you do when you take the pills. Very simple.

THE PROS AND CONS OF THIS PRODUCT
Had this a bit over a year because my HA almost overdosed my LO with a standard pillbox. They are no longer an HA. This really helps people with memory problems with taking correct pills.PROSEasy set up1 month to 2 weeks of planned pill takingVery customizable with the labels and times of the alarmsHas a key to lock pills inCan include up to 5 alarms per dayRotates to the pills at the exact time everytimeSmall compact to travel withReliableCONSthe slot where the pills are left open so when the pills rotate they can be exposed to falling out if not carefulYou have to open everything for daylight savings or time changingPillbox cannot be placed anyway but correct side up or a beep will sound every 30 secondsIf you take a lot of big pills it may not all fit in one slotBesides all that this is a great pillbox for busy caretakers I take off one star for not being able to take too many big pills

Do you have to have superhuman strength to open it?!
I ask this because I have not been able to open this dispenser since I’ve had it. I cannot get it unlocked to open it. I’ve tried the key both ways and it whatever twist and pinch I have to do, not working smh.I’ve had this device almost a year and have not been able to open it since I’ve purchased it. Yes, I should have reached out when I first purchased it I know, however I didn’t so that’s on me.I wanted to warn people in case they have any issues with the strength of their hands, fingers, wrist, etc. Or if you like me, you’re just a weakling lolI had a video, but unfortunately, it will not upload. Maybe I can add it later.

Wonderful with minor precautions: Not a bank safe but deters misuse and mistakes; Setup little hard
This was exactly what we were looking for:Has three tone alarm with disable optionHas flashing light for reminderEasy to dispense meds (just tip)Programmable for time of day for different doses per dayEasy for patient to useWe are helping care for an elderly patient who lives alone and has seizures. She gets really mixed up with her meds and has overdosed a number of times (because she forgets to record that she already dosed or has a seizure and thinks it's tomorrow). The more she overdoses, the more she gets mixed up.We got this for her and, now (hasn't been very long), she has made no mistakes. She has a schedule and, right on time, the red light flashes and she tips the dispenser and out comes her dose for that time. She can't really understand a calendar half the time but she understands to look for the red light and tip the dispenser to get her dose. Optimally, she should not be living alone and we are trying to change that but, in the interim, this is an exceptionally good solution that has worked.Minor concerns:This device works really well but it would be hard to imagine that it is extremely rugged. (I could be wrong--it appears to be well made but it is plastic, has plastic gears, uses batteries, and could be dropped.) For that reason, we let her keep an extra dose to only be used if she calls us first. So far, no failures though. We keep in close contact just to be sure. The unit locks. However, a drug abuser (our patient is not) could easily stomp on this and get the meds out (or simply walk away with it). But, you would at least know that it happened. If the unit tries to dispense while you are filling the tray, the display might show "Err". I couldn't find a way to fix this in the instructions so I called the company. A support person answered within 1 or 2 minutes. The support person seemed to have trouble understanding my concern but eventually told me to take the batteries out and put them back again. I was concerned that the unit would lose the time and/or the schedule or other parameters. I did the procedure quickly and the unit was fine like nothing happened. Not sure what would happen if I wasn't quick. The setup really requires the instructions and isn't always intuitive. Closely following the instructions and using some experimentation works fine though. I've seen worse and most devices like this require some initial effort. Keep the instructions and the key! When the dispensing tray presents the pills, anyone can take them. In some settings, that might be an issue. Also, at that time, there is no cover and the pills are exposed. For our situation, all that's a good thing. This is not a wall powered device with battery backup but simply a battery powered unit. Watch the battery life. (We considered a wall powered unit but liked the listed features of this one better.)Not very portable: Beeps if left upside down--probably for good reason. Also, the current dose could fall out. Again, that's a good design for our situation but it's not something to stick in a bag for vacation. We wish that the LCD clock displayed all the time. It times out to save battery life.Overall grade so far: A++ . This device might ultimately get the doses right and resolve some medical issues. (I want one if I ever have to have critical meds.)

It helps, and it works
We are trying to keep mom at home as long as possible. But it is extremely important that she take her medications timely. This is not an easy task for her. But this pillbox is making it a little bit easier. She doesn't always hear the alarm even though it is reasonably audible, but that is not the fault of the box. She doesn't always remember to take the medication even when she does hear the alarm and does recognize that it's time, but again that's not the fault of the box. She is definitely more likely to be compliant now than she was before, and that's something. We feel like we received value for the money and that the item works appropriately

Med Alarm
This device is a great help! Provides the needed reminder to take pills. We were disappointed however that it was not so easy to program and the batteries sent only lasted one week.
