Yes, but you need something like Home Assistant.

Does the remote work with the cloud? I have a switchbot outside controlling my front gate with a hub mini that’s beyond Bluetooth range.

No. The remote is blue tooth connected to the switch bot. But, you can control the switch bot without the remote using the cloud ( mini hub ) with Alexa.
