I would definitely recommend this light if you don't want the hassle of having to set up a wired light. We had a deck extension and with the location had no light from out existing lights. We have it set on the motion setting as soon as we open our back door the light turns on. Great light

Great motion sensor lights up fast

Works great for me, just be sure you install where it can get sunlight to recharge.

Just received two of these and got them mounted easily with the single screw mounting hole. They were charged out of the box so after dark I went and tested them both and they work awesome! Have them mounted slightly below the roof line at about 6-7 ft up. I have looked at hundreds of these type of lights and have yet to find one as compact, bright and innovative as this one. The side LED's really are great. The corner LED's put out just enough extra light to really make the unit very efficient as a whole. Most comparable units only feature forward-facing LED's. As far as the motion sensor goes I am very pleased. They registered motion in the front at around 20+ feet and about the same slightly to the side as well. No false-triggering of the sensor during some wind when the tree branches were swaying either. For the money I don't think these lights can be beat. Only had them up for a few days but so far so good!Update: Had these lights for nearly 2 years exposed to the harsh northwest rain and wind and still going strong!

It's a great idea, and works well... when it works. The light works when I approach it from one side, but does not work when it is approached from the other side. I don't see that the sensor is adjustable, so I guess that the sensor is defective. Of course, I couldn't know that when I mounted the light. And now that the light has been mounted and in place for a week or so, it's too late to return it.UPDATE: The manufacturer contacted me in a routine follow-up. I told them of my troubles, and without hesitation they offered to send a replacement unit. Stuff happens, but the true measure of a seller is how they handle problems when they arise. I'm assuming this story wil have a happy ending.

Not bright enough. I set it to 3rd setting - which is usually off and if something is moving - it is on brightest level for 20 seconds or so.Battery are fully charged, and when the light is on - i can look directly at the lights and it does not even hurt the eyes.. I can even see separate leds there. Its a joke.. My single AAA battery flashlight is brighter then that.Plus - the movement sensor is having a life of his own.. Sometimes turns on from 10 feet, sometimes from 2 feet, sometimes does not turn on at all.It is also really small, unlike it seems in the picture. I bought another outdoor light for 5$ that is twice smaller in size, but 5x times brighter. And this is 18$ each? really ? I would send it back, but just don't want to waste time for un-installation and shipping it back to them. Do not recommend. Maybe for 3$ or so, but not more..===========Update: Seller was very kind and worked with me on the problem.They sent me updated model which is a latest version of this light.Very big difference: and very good improvement.It is now much brighter, has more leds, sensor works as it should and it stays lit for longer time.Will buy them again when I need more.Great customer service !

Update: We moved this to another location and it works just fine. Sorry it took me so long to update this review and change to 5 stars!When I walk outside, it might come on and if it does it only stays on for about 5 seconds. I'm in the dark before I get to my car! And I live in Nevada so there is constant light all day long so getting enough light is not the problem. Is it defective or is there a secret to getting it to stay on longer? Probably gonna have to return it. It sounded like a great light but not for me. I'm better off with my porch light which gets me down the stairs. This light is on the eves and is supposed to light up the way to my car. But it goes out before I get to my car. Maybe 5 seconds before it goes out. Also, the wind turns it on but then it is just on for about 5 seconds. I guess you get what you pay for!

After buying these solar lights i had a few quesion that were all answered by Megan. I must admit the solar lights are bright and light up my back yard very well. I wish you could adjust the time on how long the lights stay on after motion sets them off but all in all, very good solar lights and i've bought alot of different one and these are the best and brightest by far..
