This collar is very sturdy and well-built! I bought a MEDIUM (the blue collar in the pics) as a training collar for my German Shepherd puppy. So others can see the sizing, I included 2 pictures with a 2L soda bottle (because I am a visual person when I’m trying to feel confident about sizing!) The 1st picture displays the SMALLEST you can size this collar - it fits around the 2L soda bottle. The 2nd picture displays the BIGGEST you can size this collar - you clearly have almost double the room. Hope that visual helps others with their sizing!

Roxy is a working cattle dog. 47# of rock hard, fast twitch Heeler muscle. This dog is STRONG. She's snapped every collar that has a bayonet clip or buckle. This one is endless loop with solid stitching. There's nothing to break. If she can't trash this collar? Your dog won't. Excellent stitching. Soft feel- softest of all of this type and this one won't rash her neck, no junk buckles, it's a keeper. Outstanding value. She's had it on all day working on the mountain and it hasn't stretched or anything. I just bought another one for hunting! With this hot pink collar Roxy is easy to spot, stays put and is the prettiest girl on the range to boot!.

I’m not impressed with this product. The color has rubbed off on my puppy both times she’s had it in and she has pink fur now. 😕

Although this collar has good quality hardware and is very sturdy, I was absolutely shocked at how sharp the inside edge of the collar was where it was cut and melted to prevent fraying. This part was rubbing against my dog’s neck and hurting her. I resolved the issue by sanding the sharp edge off with my micro dremel which smoothed it. I did also purchase a tie-dyed martingale collar from this same company and that collar does not have the same issue. That one is made of a thinner material and isn’t made the same way. If you do purchase this solid color collar, please check it for sharp edges for your best friend’s sake!

I bought this martingale collar and the matching leash when I adopted my very timid shelter dog, because I was scared she would slip a normal collar or harness when she got frightened and panicked. I'm so happy I did! The color is stunning on her and the collar is sturdy and strong. It's a little difficult to adjust, but that means that it won't loosen by itself when we walk! A couple of times when I first started taking her on hikes she would badly startle and try to run away, she almost slipped her harness a couple times and only me grabbing her collar quickly kept her with us! Now whenever we hit a point that might be frightening to her I switch her lead to her martingale for safety, that way when she flails around I know she can't get loose before I can calm her down. Absolutely love this collar and it's really helped my little scaredy bear stay safe while I socialize her and take her out with me!

This collar fits my large Anatolian shepherd mix perfectly. This company's Large is larger than the pet store brand, so it fits dogs with a wide neck. The fabric is sturdy and I appreciate the all-metal hardware, which means the collar will last a long time.There is one thing to note about this collar design (not this company, but martingdale collars in general): it can be dangerous if the dog gets it caught on anything. I read other reviews saying not to leave collars on dogs when they are inside and I disregarded this warning until today. My two dogs were playing and one got her mouth wrapped around the other dog's collar. The collar was pulled so tightly that it started suffocating my dog. I was able to get the collar untangled, but the whole ordeal was terrifying. I could not imagine what would have happened if I had not been home. From now on I will only put this collar on my dogs when I am about to take them outside. The collar is easy to slip on and off, so this safety measure will not be an inconvenience.

I wanted to give this a higher rating, but I just can't. It's a pretty solid and well made collar. I love that it is easy to use, as it just slips over my dogs head, no buckles or anything else to mess with. The one major flaw that I found with this collar is the loop that turns back under and is stitched to secure the metal ring that the floating loop of webbing/collar rides on was cut by heat, and has very sharp edges. My dog started getting bleeding sores on his neck soon after getting this collar. After a few weeks when I couldn't make the sores heal, I checked the collar closely and found these sharp edges. I ended up cutting and trying to fix these sharp edges and corners, and had some success, but they are still sharp. Only way to fix it would be to cut the entire end off, which would leave the collar vulnerable to the weaving coming loose and fraying. I have since stopped using this, and will only keep it as a backup collar for him. Maybe his fur will grow back on his neck where this damaged him. Poor pup.

This fits our 11 month old great dane puppy wonderfully, he has developed a bad habit of not listening while on the leash and we needed something he couldn't slip out of while we corrected him and placed him and his teenage attitude in a sit until he's able to calm his butt down!So far he hasn't been able to slip out of this collar and it tightens just enough to let him know pulling won't get him anywhere. I like that the hardware is not plastic. The entire collar is well made and very sturdy, simple to slip over his head and tighten/ loosen. The red color looks great on him too!I We have an assortment of regular collars in different colors for both of our danes from this company but this is our first time buying/using a Martindale collar, however time will tell if this collar and my patience will get through the training and bullheaded stage our dog is going through right now.

Nice dog collar, little different to put on but the dog likes it!

Quality was better than expected. Have been looking at trying this style of collar for a while for our Australian Bulldog but wanted something thick and robust. This is the one for us. I wish it was slightly wider, but the collar is well made and has a nice feel to it. No complaints from the dog either.

Broke within 20mins of my dog being outside. 85lbs Newfie/Great Pyrenees mix.

It is still adjustable so it is not too big or small for dog
