I used to buy Badia brand jalapeno powder but my local store no longer carries it. It is MORE THAN twice the price of this product (from the Badia website) so I decided to try this. It is NOT the same. It is bland compared to Badia. The thing that upsets me the most is once you open the pouch, the powder is up my nose and in my lungs! I used some of it on salmon. I could hardly taste it. I put 1/2t on 4"x4" piece of fish. Usually, this makes the fish spicy hot when I used Badia jalapeno powder. NOT SO with this product. I think it will be usable in Bloody Mary mix as I make my own for "barley green/Spirulina" drinks. Not up to Texas standard "jalapeno" expectations as we like it hot. Maybe good for New England.
