Well designed, fun, and quite sturdy.
Took me just about the entire day to build but I am a neanderthal so it may take you less. Really enjoyed the building process as the parts were all well labeled and instructions very clear as well. I did have trouble in a couple places and ended up breaking two pieces but that's definitely my fault. I definitely could've sanded more pieces, especially higher up on the build but good to know for the next build.Take it slow, grab and push in pieces to minimize putting pressure along and on weaker/thinner parts of pieces and you'll have a good time. Do take the time to sand pieces as needed and not to force them in.One last pieces of advice: When assembling the first slanted roof, install the 6 arms on the roof first and then connect it to the wall. These were a bit loose for me and finicky and ended up using crazy glue.10/10 and definitely buying and building more!!

A Real Killer, But Great When it is Finished
It is quite a challenge! Because some of the pieces are so delicate, the pressure needed to get the piece into the various holes can make the piece break. Putting this thing together requires patience. Also, I found the following things were required to make this thing easier to put together. I ended up using my needle files to sometimes gently widen the holes. I also needed at times to use Jeweler's Glue (comes in a tube) that comes with a pin point tip to keep some parts together like the big roofs that were too flexible to hold together putting them on the holders. Also I found that putting and glueing the eves together FIRST and then attaching the roofs to them was easier than the other way around. Also I had to glue some parts that just broke. But it is very nice when it is all done. I did however find that the Chinese Cat was more fun to put together.

Delicate
Took my 10 year old daughter about 3 hours to complete. my daughter broke many pieces breaking them off their templates. But she got it done she is crafty. She loved it. But it is balsa wood type and kinda expensive for what it is. Your really just paying for the design and not the material.

Delicate
Very very delicate. The instructions are very clear “do not break!!!” But… easier said than done. Have glue on hand and be aware, unless you are EXTREMELY gentle and delicate, you WILL break a piece or two. I did. I still think it came out well, though I put it together, took it apart to paint it, then put it back together, so I had more opportunities to break it. If I did it again I’d paint the pieces first but I couldn’t visualize how to paint it before putting it together. (But it was so fun that yes, yes I would do it again.)

It fits together very well
This is a great model that is not difficult to assemble. Well, it is not the easiest thing to do, but it works as long as you have some patience. The finished pagoda looks terrific -- you would be proud to put it on a table or a mantle. The instructions are very thorougth. And the individual wood pieces are easy to fit together. No glue is needed, although I found it useful to glue some of the parts to ensure they would not come apart. Highly recommended! A lot of fun.

The Wooden Pagoda
I am over-all very happy with it.I did manage to break 2 pieces when I was almost done! The glue I had on hand fixed that easily. My only aggravation was the small areas to fit your fingers into when putting the roof panels on was very ,very small and took a bit of contortion to get them aligned and connected .I enjoyed the build, and I would recommend this to any adult or older teenager who had a desire to build one.

Very fragile parts
Turned out ok, but some decorative parts are very fragile. Even with plenty of sanding I ended up breaking a handful. There are no spare parts for them of course.
