This was so affordable and easy to put together. It is so cute and I get many compliments on it asking me where I received it from. I always tell people, Amazon and they get excited.

Assembly was the only downfall. A lot of the screws did not match up to the premade holes. Once we got it put together though, I was very pleased! Perfect addition to our living room.

MY NEEDS - This was exactly what I wanted. I was looking for something low in price (I paid $85 after tax and import fees) that fit the dimensions of the wall I put it on so that I could store some blankets without a big clunky chest or rail. I wanted something that fit in this space to stop the front hall door from being aggressively swung open, but that also helped complete the room because it's our main living space. I was not expecting something that looked expensive and well-crafted because we weren't sure this would work for us, but this met my limited expectations. That being said, I have feedback for those who have higher expectations than I did (or for the manufacturer if they see this):IT STOOD CROOKED - I'm the first to admit that my house is old AF and with that comes a lot of "not level". But my house is not to blame for how not-level this blanket ladder was. We tried it all over the house (including places that were recently remodeled and thus level) and it was crooked (I regret not taking photos before we corrected it with a quick and dirty hack). Even with the hack we did, it still looks uneven to me and so I feel as though this was not measured accurately for both sides. The hack was sandwiching two felt sticky pads together, you can kinda see it on the right side of the bottom of the ladder. I will have to go back and colour it in to make it less visible.STAIN & FINISH - It's a very basic light weight pine and while the design is what I was looking for, I was disappointed that a clear coat was not added on top of the "stain" that was done to colour the wood. It very clearly rubbed off onto the instructions and even onto my hands while I was building it. It would have been nice if someone had thrown on a poly coat or even just a basic spray clear coat to try and finish the colour. I debated doing it before using it and decided I didn't want to invest that amount of time (plus it's dead of winter and I don't feel like timing the work effort around when my kids are out at school to avoid the off-gassing exposure).NO HARDWARE COVERS - Even Walmart furniture gives you little stickers that are the general colour of the furniture for you to put over those giant ass cam-lock nuts so they aren't so obvious. Where we have the ladder it doesn't really matter, and if you fill it with blankets or towels I'm sure it would be fine. But if you're buying this to hand decor of some sort that would make the back of the ladder visible, you would be able to see the nuts. Again, probably a hack you could do to fix this but if you paid over $100 for this I would be annoyed.OVERALL - I am satisfied with my purchase, if you have managed your expectations reasonably enough you will be too. This loses a star for the crookedness and for the stain/finishing. If I could rate shipment, I would give them 5 stars because it wasn't set to arrive until late next week and it was at least a week early, which was very exciting for us because we've been dying to get this done. My husband might still build us a nicer one, but this gives us an idea of how to build (or not build) something custom (and now he can spend his time finishing our bathroom, yay!)

Cheaply made and not the easiest to assemble as most of the screws were crooked. Lightweight and cute though.
