Cheap-looking matte glass shade ruined it for me
This item looked exactly like what I was seeking; but be aware that its glass shade, described as ‘opal white’, is actually the kind of frosted matte glass used for contemporary-style light fixtures, especially cheap bathroom vanity lighting. To me that looks all wrong, and anachronistic. I assumed its shade would be the heavy, glossy milk glass generally used for schoolhouse light fixtures. Returned it with heavy heart, since the fixture itself is otherwise lovely. So, three stars because of the cheap-looking matte glass shade, which clashes with its zeitgeist.

Lacks detail
The sconce is fine but lacks the articulating arm and brass details of the Lavagna 1 Light Bathroom Vanity Black with Milk Glass Linea di Liara LL-WL271-MILK-AB.

Stylish and Affordable
I was looking for a pretty single sconce for my basement stairwell and I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a light I would only see occasionally. The Astrid single sconce with the opal white shade perfectly fit the bill. It was easy for me to install myself and actually came with more installation hardware than I needed. The opal white shade with a 75W comparable LED bulb offers plenty of light for the space. My order shipped quickly and packaging offered plenty of protection in-transit.

A bit smaller than I thought
I think it’s pretty, but the glass globe is only 8”. I thought it was going to be 10”.

Looks as pictured
I love this fixture. Bought two for our remodeled bathroom. They look wonderful on either side of the mirror above the vanity. They arrived timely, no damage. Contractor installed, but I didn't hear of any missing parts or problems so I think installation was fine. I am very pleased.
