and here are some useful tips for using them effectively
I have been using these for years, and here are some useful tips for using them effectively. 1) Wrap hair slightly damp after washing, or if your hair tends to be dry or is color treated, spritz sections with a leave-in conditioner, such as Infusium, to dampen. That (or a similar product) will hold curl well. 2) To wrap, start by wrapping the very ends of a section of hair around the roller. Roll again a couple more times right over the rolled ends, so your own hair keeps it on the roller. Then you can start progressing down the length of the roller as you wrap. Even if you keep winding around the same part of the roller, you will still get spirally ringlets. Snap the 2 ends together when you stop winding hair. 3) If you want really ringlet-y curls, you may need more than one package, which only contains 12 rollers. I usually use about 16. 4) IF you get those days when hair tends to frizz more than curl, after you remove the rollers, use any one of the dozens of anti-frizz serums available before you comb it out. Rub a small amount all over your palms, and then over the surfaces of your hair. Use more if needed, just add incrementally so it won't end up looking oily. This is an awesome way to not only prevent frizzing and get the shiny, defined curls you want, it also prevents tangles totally! 5) The curls will relax somewhat over the course of the day, depending on whether you have longer hair, the humidity of the air, etc. If you find the curls are too tight to start out with, the best way to relax them some is by running a blow dryer over them briefly. I use cool air; can't say if warmer air works faster to relax curls. 6) This might sound like a lot of work, but you can put the rollers in before bedtime, and sleep on them in comfort. The only part that takes more than a few seconds is the wrapping itself, and with a little practice, you will get so you can do it in ~15 minutes. Maybe a bit longer if you have really long hair. Unwrapping should take a fraction of the time. One thing I forgot to mention that is useful--when wrapping a section of hair around the roller, hold the section high, and away from your head as you start wrapping. That will ensure the rollers end up closer to your head, and not likely to slide out.

THESE ARE GREAT FOR KIDS AND ADULTS!
I have been using these on my daughter's hair for years. They are super comfortable to sleep in. I have used these to add striking curls to long hair as well as shoulder length hair. Its fast and easy, once you master the rolling method that best works for the desired curls you want. My daughter has naturally straight hair, she loves wearing spiral curls so I intensify the curls further by twirling the strand of hair before rolling it up in the roller. Also if you want a loose more romantic curl you use less rollers and more hair in each strand you roll. I will include pics of various curls I did on my daughter. These rollers are made of thick cloth. There are no wires in them. The snaps are plastic and very sturdy. Best thing about them - they can be washed. I have seriously used these for several years and not one roller has become defective or shown signs of wear and tear. You get 12 rollers in total and of those 12, 4 of them are slightly longer. This amount is plenty to curl all your hair but if you have extremely thick hair you might want to invest in a second kit.I would recommend these to anyone wanting a comfortable way to add curls. Especially on kids hair where you want to avoid heat styling.

Even my fine thinning hair is curly the next day
These are great! As I've gotten older, (dreaded 40's!) my hair has become pretty fine and thin on top. I don't like to use heated products, so I thought I'd try these. I'm caucasian and my once naturally curly hair is now less curly due to thinning. I follow the directions and put a little styling spray on my hair after the wraps are in place. I sleep with them in and they don't seem to bother me when I sleep. I won't say that you don't know they're in your hair, because although they're very soft, you're still sleeping with something on your head. I move a lot in my sleep though, and I don't seem to wake up during the night with them in. The results I get in the morning are so fun! I never seem to get the same curls, because I roll them differently or use different amounts of hair per curler. My curls are always bouncy and when I comb them a little with a pick, it gives the illusion that my hair is fuller. Of course I'm a little lazy and only use the wraps to make curls when I have a special occasion the next day : )
