As part of my daughter's 2nd grade assignment, they were supposed to dress up as a story book character and tell about their book. My daughter chose this book and dressed as a Kangaroo while acting out these steps in class. Her teacher later pulled me aside and told me she had never heard of this book before. She said she actually had to look it up and was astonished! She loved how interactive and engaging it was and how animated my daughter was while sharing it. She did not do the cliche princess character but opened the class up to this world of reading and dance! She loved every bit of it and so did my daughter!!!

I didnt care for the story

This is a beautifully done book. The illustrations alone are worthy of 5 stars. They are colorful, lush & well crafted.The story is inspiring & easy to follow. The photos of the dancer showing how children can do the dance moves, along with the kangaroo are very clever & fun.This would be a great book to read to your own children, or to use while teaching a children’s class.

Joey Finds His Jump is such a unique storytelling experience which combines a beautifully illustrated story about Joey the kangaroo with ballet poses your kids can follow and learn. They can move just like Joey! Incredibly fun and interactive.

Another great book by Once Upon a Dance. This one is different from the Dancing Shapes series and we loved it. The pictures are delightful and the story is engaging. So happy to have this fun book to inspire my little ones to move and introduce some fun dance ideas.

An all around joyful experience. Perfect for young children who love to move and dance. Beautifully written and illustrated. I am going to purchase a few and have them for gifts for my friends with little ones.
