To have even a few more inches of counter space is so nice! No more knife block taking up space. I installed this item on the outside of a cabinet next to my kitchen sink. Simple to install and the magnet is super strong. All of my knives from the block (except for the steak knives) fit perfectly. I'm enjoying the extra countertop space too! Great product!

This is the 3rd brand of magnetic knife strip I've tried out in the past month. The first two had wimpy magnets that could barely hold a fork, and one had a fake hardwood cover that is already wearing around the edges after barely 3 weeks of use.The 3rd time's the charm, though: THIS one is a keeper.* First and foremost, nice strong magnet that holds even my largest chef's knife securely.* Nice seamless stainless steel surface, easy to keep clean and sanitize.* Simplest mounting of any knife strip I've seen. You attach the metal plate to the wall with two screws, and the magnet sticks to the plate, and it's ready for use.No worrying about locating screws properly to fit in keyhole slots, or hoping double-stick tape won't let loose and drop your expensive knives into the sink.This is a great knife strip and I will likely buy a couple more in different lengths, for other applications. I can see using one of these in the shop, to hold a set of nut-drivers, or screwdrivers.

This is a great knife holder, strong and out of the way. I would gladly give it five stars except that I had to improvise the installation for our stone faced backslash. No adhesives were included with it, so I used two sided Gorilla tape. Worked out fine!

Was using a wooden knife block but wanted to declutter my countertop. I liked that this rack is available in multiple sizes & ordered the 18" version - it's perfect for where I placed it. Magnet is extremely strong and holds my knives securely. Installation was simple.

Lo coloqué ya hace tiempo en mi refrigerador y a pesar del peso no se ha desplazado ni un centímetro (literalmente, lo medí cuando lo coloqué). Además aguanta bastante bien toda una batería de cuchillos y algunos de sus accesorios (tijeras, afilador, etc.) Si no se quiere colocar en el refrigerador trae una placa que s epuede colocar fácilmente en la pared o una estructura de madera. La recomiendo mucho para poder tener un mejor orden en su cocina.

Very nice magnetic knife holder. Bought the 12" version and works great. Mounting solution is great, but does require a drill if you want to properly install onto drywall. You need to drill the correct sized pilot holes for drywall anchors. Double sided tape (not included) could be used, but the magnet is so strong, it'd probably rip the tape off the wall should you need to remove the main part from the mounting plate for whatever reason.The separate mounting plate design does have an advantage. Longer knives tend to swivel around a bit on the holder depending on its weight. You can pull the magnet mount off the mounting plate, wrap a paper towel around it, and put it back onto the mounting plate. The paper towel will give enough friction between your knife and the holder to keep it locked in place. On a white wall, it doesn't look too bad either.

I bought this to replace an Ikea magnetic knife strip that didn’t have enough magnets in it and would make smaller knives stick at weird angles. Not a problem with this Gorilla strip - it looks like it’s one solid magnet and it’s strong as hell.I didn’t want to drill into my tiles so I attached it to the wall using double-sided Gorilla Tape. It sits beautifully flush.
